I feel no urgency from Narrative for years now

I would love for a riot employee to respond to this post and tell me if they can say that rammus' lore is anything but an embarrassment on the part of narrative. Its crazy that the people that are actually writers are the ones we hear the least about on the forums, which is primarily a writing medium. I am begging somebody to come on here and tell me honestly how much work they have put into rammus' lore in the last 3 years. I would rather somebody just come out and say that the writing isn't a big priority at Riot and that they might do a couple things a year and new champ stuff but we shouldn't expect anything else. At least there is some transparency in that.

I think back to AstralFoxy and what happened to his WinterMint client. People liked it. Riot saw it. Hired him. Nothing got done. He leaves.

Neil Gaiman might be the same thing. He's a great WH writer, one of the biggest ones along side Dan Abbett, but I'm worried his talent might be squashed in Riot's corporate culture. From how Riot views things like sandbox mode and dynamic queue... well, meh.

It's been something like a year and a half since the great retcon and the narrative team have been completely radio silent during that whole period (rightly so, they're fucking embarrassments, I'd hide in shame if I were them too). You're a fool to think you can get them to talk now. Best case scenario you're gonna get the attention of a red who has nothing to do with the narrative team tell you "Well I'm not on the narrative team, but I'm sure they're doing their best."

If you're lucky (insert your favourite champion here) will get a passing mention/lore retcon during some new event pointlessly contrived to generate hype for a new upcoming champ update/release (personally I'm hoping against hope that Leona and Dianna might be lucky enough to be mentioned at some point during Taric's re-release, but I'm certainly not holding my breath).

As for Rammus specifically, It's unlikely Riot's ever gonna touch him any time soon unless they ever decide they want to visit Shurima again.

didn't they say rammus' new lore was one of the ones coming up?

They have started doing a lot more long form lores for new champions and some older ones. Overall I've liked them. It is a little frustrating that even now it seems to take forever (shurima lore was soon how long ago?) but they seem to be actually trying now

In general, I'm surprised at how many things feel sluggish or forgotten at a gaming company as big as riot is. Like they're fixing this next patch, but splash arts for base line champions like kennen and Evelynn have been embarrassingly bad for such a long time now, seemingly forgotten when everyone else got theirs updated. or the website that has a lot of really outdated info on pages for new players etc.
