Could Rengar be possibly be a Yordle?

I know, I know it sounds really, really weird at first, but since the introduction of the yordles as just some other random generic fanatsy race I think they have been rewritten into something a bit more complex. This might have started when Illaoi adresses them as "spirits", or maybe even before, but my theory is that Yordles are somewhat spiritual beings bound to the places they inhabit or the cultures they come into contact with.

Just look at Poppy. She's like the symbol of Demacia somehow. Same thing with Kled, who's probably the best representation of noxian war-culture I have ever seen. Heimerdinger is a genius sceintist, and if there is one thing Piltover stands for its genius science. Gnar is pretty much the incarnation of prehistoric Runeterra. Lulu is bound to the Fae As for the other yordles... Teemo and Tristana still are in line for a lore update and we don't know for sure if Bandle City even still exists or if they are spread over the land. I can see these two traveling with mercenary groups tho. Ziggs would fit perfectly into Zaun with his crazy disregard for safety measures - however, I'm sure there is no limit like "one yordle per place", so he might as well be coinnected to Piltover. And Rumble... no clue, I can only assume that this yordle-rewrite is still in progress.

Btw, isn't it interesting that the only yordle not connected to a specific place is the "odd one out"? Veigar Going by the name of Veigars abilities one might almost suggest that Veigar didn't bind with a location but with the cosmos itself, but let's safe that thought for another thread.

They have perfectly become the "local spirits" of these areas - not too much of a thing if you remember they also seem to be immortal.

Now, Rengar is a tricky case. It is said that he is some "one of a kind" being - but if there is no species of badass cat people, then what is he? Simple: a yordle that has become the local spirit of the jungle. The only culture that he grew up with was the one of hunting - both the hunting for survival, and the one for sport and fame - the first one would be Nidalees theme (who is also kinda a "spirit of the jungle"), he's called the pridestalker for a reason after all. It wouldn't be weird to assume that his body has changed in the jungle, resulting in the big towering form that he is today.

After all who says yordles have to be small? After all Gnar proves that they also can be really, really, big at times.

What's almost more interesting is that this means there is a yordle for every area. There could be a Shuriman Yordle (a caravan leader maybe?), there could be a Shadow Isles Yordle (very ded), there could be a Freljordian Yordle (either a civilian who tends to his goats or a miniature version of Olaf, whatever you like), there could be an Ionian Yordle, and maybe even a Bilgewater one (yordle pirates anyone?).

And even more intersting: what happens to a Yordle when the place they are connected to falls to ruins? Someone gotta ask Zilean if there was a yordle back in Urtistan...

I think the simpler conclusion is: Blame Zaun and Singed. Tossing chemicals everywhere does crazy stuff.

That could actually be a possibilty. I mean it was established already that yordles seem to have innate magic abilities,I mean Gnar is still a child and he can transform into a huge monster,so what if Rengar has a similar ability from birth, but is stuck in it?

Though I doubt the whole "yordle are bound to a location"-stuff. Ziggs doesn't have known connections to Zaun and you are forgetting Corki.

I think the reason why the yordles seem to be all over the place is more that it is simply an interesting design choice to make a yordle champ for different nations, simply for the sake of variety.

I recently decyphered secret programming in the lol game. Go to the homepage, and click the store. Then, go to skins, and type in, "Rengarsecrets" This will pull up a secret page on rengar! Really, he's a Yordle, who is from outer space. He managed to hop onto Aurelion sol's back, and ride to runeterra, but the cosmetic rays of the sun were different, mutating him into a Yordle of unspeakable powers. He then became friends with a donkey, and traveled to the shadow iles, Where he found the item 3116, and he dropped it into a puddle. The puddle was cursed, and the donkey turned humanoid, and eventually sole Grave's cigar! He then traveled to the human world, where he plays video games, under the name of VIDEOGAMEDUNKEY. He tried to warn us that Singed owned Riot, but we thought he was joking. After realizing that nobody believed him, he left lol, and all of Runeterra behind him. Rengar then met Sejuana, whom nobody remembers... They joined forces to find his lost donkey friend, but all they found were trashy runes. So Rengar ate Sejuana, and thats how he is not a Yordle. (Also, Dunkey's a real youtuber! Go check him out!) Also, gift me stuff, because I asked u guys.[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

The updated lore of Heimerdinger and the update of Tristana confirm that Bandle still existing... so, the whole theory of "spiritual beings bound to the places they inhabit or the cultures they come into contact with." is wrong. (You said that "Teemo and Tristana still are in line for a lore update"... which is not true, because Tristana was updated already)

And there is a yordle from Ionia called Kennen (And Ammumu could be considered a yordle from Shurima)

However, your thread is not about that... its about Rengar being a yordle.

I dont think so, however, its not far fetched to think that Rengar might be soem kind of "Gorilla" for the yordles (Both species share a common ancestor).

Yeah, I don't come often in Story & Art, but I was actually thinking the same thing. Take my upvote.

i doubt the theory due to the fact that firstly, the reason gnar is big is genetic, otherwise known as the Rage Gene. Secondly, if Yordles change by location then why don't rumble and heimerdinger look exactly the same? Also how would Poppy be connected to Demacia if she looked the same way at the founding of Demacia, as well as the time before Demacia existed? Next, Rengar is cited as growing a mane (something that no other known yordle does) as well as moving constantly, so he couldn't be bound to a location. Veigar and Lulu are weird because they were placed in isolation, either in the fairy realm or in a Noxian prison. That's why lulu isn't friends with any standard Yordle, but is friends with Pix.

Nope, this theory is too far-fetched. I'm sorry, but there isn't even a hint that might back it up.

The world of Runeterra is full of magic and creatures and places we don't know yet. Skaarl, the mount of the new champion, is an example.

It would honestly detract from his character as a beast raised by a human hunter to be the very best, like no one ever was. To slay beasts and mount their heads on his wall.

His youthful eagerness actually cost him his eye and I feel he should simply remain a mortal race and not some spirit/yordle
