[Piltover/Zaun Updates] Is it just me, or...

...or did Piltover/Zaun lose a lot of its charm? Not necessarily the Champions themselves, but the aesthetics. I always had a particular vision of Piltover - in spite of the artwork from the early days. When Vi was released, I used the clock tower as a frame of reference and fleshed it out in my mind to form a city quite reminiscent, though not quite as dark, as Tim Burton's Gotham (with a touch of Victorian architecture, a lot of neon in the Piltover areas, and a lot of glowing green waste in the Zaun areas). The whole city is one big, crumbling utopia with a mere handful of pristine buildings in the more upper-class areas - fading away into Zaun.

eh... not really? It was a surprise to me to learn they were parts of the same metropolitan area, honestly. I always thought they were two separate-but-competing cities.

My only real "problem" with the new Zaun is the sheer verticality they added to it when it's supposed to be this bottom-rung slum, especially in Warwick's teaser. It's got nothing to do with the actual aesthetic.

And I never pictured neon in Piltover. Mostly I pictured frills and a steampunk aesthetic, but with magic crystals instead of steam.
