this guy was teased in it aswell. im like 90% certain the next champ is this guy and not the dragon everyone seems to be thinking it is. The watchers are pretty closely connected with aram, so the fact that this guy is also going to be the new aram announcer makes alot of sense too.
btw, this constellation was also seen on targon at the time.

That guy is essentially a drawing around a constellation to give said constellation more explanation to its meaning culturally. It's like this:

The Watchers are tied to the Howling Abyss, not ARAM. Remember ARAM's been the Howling Abyss and the Butcher's Bridge before, and I don't remember Frozen Watcher influence in Bilgewater. It's more indicative of something of a Targonian nature seemingly; a new ARAM map would be my guess, but that's just me.

i forget which red said it at the time, but it was mentioned that the story tellar and the kids around the camp fire were on top of mount targon.
as for the constellation itself, remember that bards face was also a constellation with a image drawn around it and look at how accurate it turned out to be.

If it was ever mentioned, then I'm sure it's been retconned out at this point. Mount Targon's not the place to hike with the kids to tell them about the stars... not if you want to tell them while they're alive that is.

its possible it was changed. bards lore was never finished aswell. one of the spots could be for bard (or taric rework, most likely taric) tbh. its also possible they are just not at the very peak of targon and instead at a lower level.

They're meant to depict specific events and times, not be images of actual things. Constellations are just patterns in the stars in the sky after all, and with that in mind the only constellations in League we know has any significance are that of the Pantheon and Bard.

the watchers have significance tho assuming lissandras lore is still relevant. she is essentially a prophet for them. the Ruined king is also very significant in regards to the shadow isles as a whole and why the harrowing happens every year in bilge water.
the sun disc is an obvious refrence to shurima, and a shurima event on the same scale as the bilgewater and targon event is supposedly going to happen sometime (soontm). those constellations are probably alot more important than we think. even if the watcher isnt the next champion, he will still play some important role whenever riot gets around to the watchers as a whole.

the watchers origins are unknown at this point, but they are implied to be cosmic beings. but you are right that lissandra would herald there return rather than patheon. but at the same time i think that would have made the teaser too obvious.

With a ton of champs who have had other side characters in their stories, they just don't make them into champs. Like Ekko vs Urgot rework or Ekko vs his enemy who killed his brother or Miss Fortune and Rafen.
They just don't do it so I don't think they'll do it with this guy. If Riot trolls the entire community, I doubt it'll be with this guy.

GreenLore1 votesI doubt it. The teaser also showed the broken crown of the ruined king and the downfall of shurima,so it is safe to say tha these are more like records of important events that happened and not actual creatures that live there.
Also its a star constellation,so it makes sense that different countries can see it(and the mountains in the teaser are actually confirmed from ionia).
Last but not least I think that it would be weird for pantheon to be connected to a watcher...
