Do you think GP is actually alive, despite Riot's actions to disable him in the game?

Ever wondered why GP had a VU? Ever wondered why the "new GP" doesn't look too much like "old GP", but somehow are both similar at the same time? Or why was he "dead", killed by Miss Fortune, even though the real GP may have been alive?

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CsGke-8rPIw/VblVE5QVM2I/AAAAAAAAujM/JuZO8sWjvn4/s1600/story-backdrop-act-3.jpg So, we all know that MF had "killed" Gangplank in Act III, and her missions to end his rule in Bilgewater. The man whom she killed was the man whom we thought to be the original GP, before he got a VU. The real GP isn't dead, he's actually the older man we see, whom Rito labeled him as "GP's VU". Bottom line: the real GP is the post-rework/VU GP, and the fake GP is the "old GP" we used to see (and love, to some).

And see this picture? http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ODZmpWeZToY/Vbtp4UjdswI/AAAAAAAAuug/2yKN4YBRcqA/s640/CLLh8DpVEAAG8aY.jpg We only see pictures of the "old GP", and nothing about him after the VU. This might have been the fact that the man whom MF killed isn't the GP VU we see, whom may not be the real GP.

Of course, this may not be the only theory. With the introduction of the Black Market Brawler game mode with a handful of new items, ingame items are often actual objects in the realm of Runeterra. item 3829, of course is no exception (for those who don't know you can be a clone of your ally until you attack/cast a spell). The "fake GP" might have used that to disguise as GP, and become a decoy for MF to kill. The real GP may have hid elsewhere as he arrived to Bilgewater to deal with TF and Graves as the fake one pretends to do what the real GP would've done.

Sure, anything happening inside the League may not be canon to the actual lore (cough skins), but I'm pretty sure the real Gangplank doesn't just die like that, especially if Rito mentioned that he's a powerful man, status-wise and physically, who knows how to work around murders and such. He can't just die like that, there has to be some kind of "hidden clue" about his real prescence.

Some pictures for thought. http://riot-web-static.s3.amazonaws.com/images/news/November_2011/2011_11_25_GP_redux/Gangplank_Splash_0_thumb.jpg ^ The man whom MF killed, whom we all thought is GP.

http://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/img/champion/splash/Gangplank_0.jpg ^ The real one who is, very likely, still alive somewhere out there.

Thoughts? Anything you would like to add on to this "GP is actually not dead" theory? Disagree? I'm rather interested into hearing that.

"But Lulu, what about Spooky GP? Shouldn't he be available instead?" Naw man, even the Shadow Isles took his soul.

TLDR GP is actually not dead even though it is said that MF killed him. However... that dead man = "old GP" =/= real GP real GP = "new GP"

I think GP could be still alive, despite Riot really trying to make it appear as if GP was dead, they just want to make sure that Champion death is something that might happen in the future and that its not to be taken lightly.

However if GP is still alive, they might not reveal it,even after the event,to make the death more believable.

Or it's as simple as there being a Part IV that will reveal that the explosion didn't actually kill Gangplank.

What a waste of time writing these threads.

Regardless of this particular theory being true or not, I believe he didn't die. (Simply because lol as if they'd ever do such thing... common)

ANYWAAAYS, that cloning item indeed might be some hint :) odd item

Like, you're ingame and you kill a champion, to find out you didn't afterall ;D

I am 100% sure that Gangplank is still alive. They're probably going to reveal that after this story about Miss Fortune that they apparently want to tell.

Because Gangplank has just been rebooted as a character. It'd be a waste to just kill him off so fast. Plus, the story of the former owner of the town having to climb his way back to the top again after being humiliated and losing everything he fought for is too good to ignore.

He's like the Dread Pirate Roberts. The name is what is important.

This WOULD be a good copout tbh.

The old GP doesn't seem the sort to carve pretty pictures in someone's femur bone.
