Why is it that LoL can get its rating increased for having a character say the word "shit"...

...when characters in StarCraft II say "shit" and "fuck", in addition to people literally burning to death and having their limbs blown off by explosions, and the game is still rated T?

This isn't supposed to be a rhetorical question, I'm legitimately wondering why.
