A tribal shaman here once told me my soul was “entwined with” the Aspect of the Wanderer. Didn’t peg her for a Targonian… but I suppose looks can be deceiving.
This was taken from Ezreal's Notes of the Runeterra map. So, besides having a gauntlet made for the Ascended, now he's also part Aspect? The kid sure is special.
I feel that the best way to interpret it is just that Ezreal is a viable host for the Wanderer - though he isn't (yet) an avatar for them. He's not part-Aspect, but, like with Zoe, Leona, Diana, Taric, and Atreus - a trip to Mount Targon may result in some divine mysteries that results in yet another acting agent of Targon walking around Runeterra.
Seems pretty clear the shaman was only paying Ezreal a complement.
If anything the statement is there to tease that one day we could get an Aspect of the Wanderer. Probably not Ezreal but now we know one exists.
