Anyone notice how Evelynn's new teaser shows her enveloped in what looks to be a cloud of the Black Mist? If I had to guess, the Mist will probably be Eve's new source of power, fueling her ability to conceal herself in darkness and maybe even materialize/dematerialize at will. This not only gives us a clue into what her gameplay might look like (perhaps she'll have a blink, or can phase through walls like Kayn) but also hints at her origins (was Eve born on the Blessed Isles only to be transformed by the Ruination?).

If nothing else, I think this means we can expect to see quite a few spicy interactions between Yorick and Evelynn. Who wore the Mist better? ;)

Also apologies if this was obvious; hadn't seen anyone here mention it yet, so I thought it'd be worth pointing out.

I don't think Eve got her power the way every other Shadow Isle champ got theirs (if she is still related to the Shadow Isles). Assuming she is in fact a demon, it could be that she was created by all the suffering caused by the Ruination. Or if she is something else, maybe she was trapped in Thresh's Vault, likely inside some object, and got out during the Ruination. If this is the case, its possible her power had a part in causing it, as we know the Ruined King cast a spell that was amplified by the magical artifacts of the vault. It would also be interesting, if she was one of the primary magical forces that caused Thresh's sadistic tendencies (Mordekaiser's skull likely being the other).

I think it'd be pretty cool if she ends up being the Ruined King's wife... Like after the king revives her and then uses the spell to kill her, she doesn't end up dying and the black mist gave her a new form, and obeys her as she is the reason it was created.

I don't think she's undead, and I hope not too. I think she's demonic and she's wearing shadows, not the black mist.

I don't think that's the Black Mist. The Black Mist isn't just "Black Mist", it's a whirling concoction of souls that have been twisted and damned to an eternity of suffering. It gives off a slight blue and sometimes green hint as well, which isn't present here. I think this is more just your standard "Shadow Magic" so to speak. Dangerous of course, but not The Black Mist.

It would actually be REALLY bad for Evelynn to be surrounded by the black mist.

The mist would kill her (if she doesn't carry the tears of life with her, but I would be surprised from where the heck she would get these other than ripping it off from Maokai) and if she is lucky, an undead version of hers would still be able to live. If she is unlucky her soul would wander around the Isles and soon or later the Chain-warden would get her.

I think the black cloud around her isn't the mist but rather "Darkness".

Also there is no reason why she should be able to fuel power out of the mist, there are not a lot of people able to do that either.

Mordekaiser gets enhanced by the magical power of the mist but doesnt control the mist by any means.

The mist kind off obeys to Yorick (The souls he freed at least do)

Karthus might be the only one that has his abilities ONLY true the powers of the mist.

Her current lore hasn't much connection with the isles either.

I think Evelynn is gonna be some form of what Yorick could have been if he gave into the mist
