Did Riot take inspiration from Dora or this is just a coincidence?

I believe Norra the Explorer (Dora the Explorer) has been kidnapped and it's up to Yuumi (Boots) and Book (Map) to save her. This seems darker than I remember from the show.
I think this is actually coincidence, I refuse to believe that Riot took inspiration from Dora the explorer. xD
