Xerath called Azir "the boy who chased the sun" as an insult, implying the emperor's naivety. Azir was a grown adult by the time he did his Ascension ritual.

He also had a wife and kids.

As for Azir's tomb, it could have been possible that the tomb was made for him during his lifetime. I think Nasus buried Azir's ashes. The tomb of emperors must have survived the blast because it was built underground.

Xerath didn't get blown up because he took Azir's Ascension, and took on a form which could survive the explosion.

As for Sivir's relation to Azir, perhaps her ancestor had an affair with Azir, but stayed out of City of Shurima during the explosion? Rulers often do have mistresses and illegitimate children.

My guess about the possible issues with using ascension ritual would be that the person who is elevated becomes infertile, or unable to reproduce with humans.

When azir got obliterated he was like 10 years old. He needed xerath to guide him cause kids can't rule because they are super inexperienced. I don't understand why azir has the mind of a fully grown adult when he should be a 1010 year old kid.

Seriously did you even bother to read azirs lore? It explicitly mentions that Azir had a wife and children(also it would not make sense for azir to be resurrected as an adult man,if he was still a child during xeraths ascension),though it also says that they died during xeraths ascension,but it is pointed out that somehow azirs lineage must have continued,so it is most likely something that will be shown later on.

Its not like xerath nuked the whole country,he caused lots of destruction,but that doesn't mean everything got destroyed. In fact Xerath was imprisoned within the tomb,so it was definetly still intact when xerath was chained into the sarcophagus

He protects something that lies underground,it is never said that he protects the tomb of the emporers,he might be just protecting his home or something else

There is no tomb for azir.The tomb of the emporers existed already during azirs rule.Its just the place where azir was resurrected.

We don't know,it might be what Xeraths ascension caused,or simply make the deity that is granting ascension angry. After all ascension is normally granted,not taken,it seems more like a deity gives power to a mortal through the sun disc. The ascension ritual is probably a way to tell the deity that they need an ascended now and if they don't have a valid reason for that the deity might be displeased.

Xeraths ascension wasn't flawed,it was modified. Xerath used his arcane knowledge to manipulate the ascension ritual in a way that he could take more power for himself. It destroyed lots of stuff around him,but he himself wasn't destroyed(at least it looks that way,there are also theories that xerath wouldn't have survived if he wasn't caught in the sarcophagus),in fact the destructive energy most likely came from xeraths body,so its not like he was in harms way. And its not like it destroyed everything,(nasus and Renekton were pretty close to the ritual,but weren't harmed)

-Its not his tomb,its the tomb of emporers,so its most likely a tomb that is used by multiple emporers.The magic that revived azir is still a mystery though and its most likely going to be explained eventually.

-This is mentioned in azirs lore as well,so for now we can only speculate,it is most likely going to be revealed eventually,otherwise riot wouldn't point out such a flaw in their story themselves. "The question remained as to how his bloodline survived, for it most assuredly had."

How am i rekt? I will admit i got retarded with azir being a kid tho. I thought young emperor ment 8 years old and rito was referencing to like azir being a king tut. But all he gave me were speculations and no direct answer. Even green doesn't know the answer, which is why those questions should have been answered in the lore.

Monarchs have harems -> lots of offsprings -> some have left earlier Being from the same bloodline doesn't mean she is his descendant, as his relatives who may have reigned other kingdoms would count as well.

Sivir is, as already mentioned of the royal bloodline, so most sentient traps would let her pass.

It said ancient warnings that you only ascend with sun disk if the empire is in direct threat, it's a little sentence that can speculate a lot of questions. but it's probably not important.

The people were annihilated, but the city wasn't blown off the map. The tomb was located way below anything on the surface, so it would've been mostly safe from the disaster above.

Shurimans did ages ago to house their long dead emperors. It's a TOMB. Of the EMPERORS. Not the EMPEROR. It was made long before Azir was born.

Not necessarily; we don't know the exact details as to how the Ascension took shape when Xerath got a hold of the power, so there's nothing to indicate he was ever at risk of dying from the ritual to begin with.

You see, that sentence made no grammatical sense. I'd suggest you reword it and ask again.

The Tomb was never destroyed; it's always been there. Maybe in a bit worse shape now but it's intact. There was never a time when it was wholly destroyed. Azir was resurrected by Sivir's blood pouring on to the sands within the ruined capital, which awoke ancient magic within the sun disc. This magic is what brought Azir back from the dead. It's implied that the power of Ascension is granted by the Sun Disc, not given, so in that case whatever power that exist working behind the Disc would be the thing mostly responsible for the Azir's return.

No i get that the tomb is not destroyed and the corpses are emperors. But Azir was never made a tomb because everyone died, all the other tombs were even more older emperors who aren't azir. If sivir's blood splat on that tomb it wouldn't be azir, but a much older emperor.

Sivir didn't bleed out in the tomb; she did it near the fallen sun disc as far as I'm aware. She had already stumbled around for a while and collapsed a good distance away from the tomb.

Azir was never buried there. The tomb was close to the ascension platform,which is the point where Azir died,which is most likely why he was reborn there.

In the end we can't even be sure if it would have made a difference where sivir bleeded to death,as far as we know it is possible that azir would have been reborn even if sivir was dying in the midst of the desert.

Xerath should be immune to arcane energy. The Arcane Energy Blast that destroyed Shurima was probably nothing to him.

There's no evidence he had a harem nor any children or relatives who weren't in his immediate family. His lack of connection to Sivir is a deliberately done plot hole by Riot that fails to generate any mystery.

I see where you are going with this, but sivir has to be like the great great grand daughter of azir's immediate family to actually work the ressurection. I get that in real life, if an immediate family dies then cousins and crap can take the throne. If sivir was a coisin of azir's immediate family she would take the throne, but the ressurection wont work. the immediate family of azir died because they lived in the same city and azir say sand versions of his immediate family which means they died and didn't give birth to other generations.

Ever heard of political marriage ? Azir's daughter / sister / brother could all live in a different kingdom while the ascension takes place. And just because he saw the visions, doesn't mean they all died then and there, just that they eventually died. And Sivir just needs to be of royal blood to work the resurrection (something already weird since after many generations the bloodline would have definetly weakened)
