@Riot: I feel like we're building up to some amazing Void content.

With all this talk of Star Dragons, Ancient Emperors, Cyborgs, Ice Witches, Sniper-Cops, Mermaids, Berserkers, Angels, and sentient-weaponized-goo-people (talk about diversity), it's easy to forget that there's another world opposite of Runeterra brimming with intelligent alien life. The only problem is that this intelligent alien life has a thing for learning english... and consuming our lifeforms.

The Void and it's denizens are a really interesting part of this world. The fact that they're super-intelligent (learning to speak and such) makes them dangerous. Rek'Sai might seem like a mindless beast, but that... mouth of hers probably prevents a lot of words from sounding the way she wants them. Rek'Sai, too, is probably super-intelligent. My theory, however, is that they all aren't so intelligent when they come into this world. The longer they're in Runeterra, the more they seem to learn. The Xer'Sai are a great example.

To explain it better, think about the Graboids from Tremors. The longer they live, the smarter they become. In the end, the only ways to kill them are with sheer amounts of fire power. I feel those from the Void are no different. Growing in experience and cognitive ability. These are creatures made to evolve and overcome. They almost seem designed for the specific purpose of invasively consuming worlds, like they were born to do it.

I think the Void is ripe for storytelling, and I feel all the references to the Void in recent lore means we might (somewhat soon) be seeing some Void lore.

The more I think about it, the more I look forward to hearing more about the Void.

Or maybe just learning what the hell Brand actually is.

Either/or.

Rek'sai probably can't physically speak english so it wouldn't make sense for her to be having thoughts in english. For all we know all her jibberjabber are really well constructed Xer'Sai sentences.

I definitely agree there is Void stuff going down. Taliyah has a quote to Kassadin along the lines of -I know you have been to Icathia what are the secrets to stopping the void invasion-.

I think we learn about Kassadin soon too? I'm excited, I've been waiting for this ever since I started League.

I think the team is definitely hinting at some big, big void shit late this year as a big event. Maybe a war between Void and Runeterra in the style of the bilgewater event or the Ionian/Noxian war?

I mean, tell me if I miss anything, but the void is clearly referenced in 1: Sol's lore 2: Leona's lore 3: Diana's lore and now in at least some of this Shurima lore.

Personally I bet it'll show up in Skarners lore as the reason the bracken went underground.

It was said that rek'sai really is a beast,I mean keep in mind that what we hear ingame are the thoughts of the champion, not what they actually say.

Though I think its not out of question for rek'sai to be a smart beast.

I think we might finally get to see Kog'Maw's "Daddy"

They certainly are building them as one of if not the most biggest threat Runeterra has ever faced.

I'm still kind've curious if they could possibly be tamed or develop reasoning. Imagine a Xer'Sai guard dog.

I will literally shit my pants for eternity if Riot launches a new Void champion: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/bznT4dk790g/maxresdefault.jpg Except, in proper league twist, instead of willingly going into the Void, she was stolen by: http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/3/3e/Malzahar_OriginalSkin.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20160419184952

I still hold that Rek is basically a Voidling that got left behind from the last invasion and just got really big.

The actual Voidborn, at least as the lore originally described them, were all creatures of terrifying power and cunning.

Straight from Sol's lore story.

"They’re drawn to me, those multi-eyed, carapaced abominations. They seek to devour me, the greatest of their threats. From the reaches of my mind, I conjure an image of the solar furnaces I kindled, before my fettering, which once ignited the hearts of stars."

It feels like Targon is set up to oppose the Void while Biglewater is set up to oppose the Shadow Isles.

RekSai "RAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHHHHH AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGG GROAAAAAAAAR?????????!!!"

Translation: Are you serious?

We aren't entirely sure what Aurelion was referring to, it's speculation either way you go.

Let's speak hypothetically and assume this supreme voidling on the other side was Chogath... well then we know the other "Will" isn't as strong as Aurelion because currently Chogath can't hold a candle to Aurelion in terms of power.

Then let's look at it for what it was. It lost to Aurelion or else it would've broken through. We also know from the lore that Aurelion did hold back to prevent destroying the "fragile planet".

If it wasn't Chogath we are talking about a voidling on Aurelions level which pretty interesting in the big scheme of things.

But considering the topic is about a battle against the Void and Aurelion has fought against a supreme voidling and won as well as countless others he says he has stopped who else is better to combat this threat than our strongest champion who has his own agenda because Bard doesn't care as long as reality is safe.

I think Bandle City or The Void needs to come after Shurima. Both have been pretty void (hehe) of lore as of late.

Not sure about Voids being unsentient before runeterra, i mean Vel looks rather sentient and intelligent on its own

Whatever it is Aurelion Sol has to be the one to lead the fight vs. The Void as he is recognized as the greatest threat to the void.
