So why exactly are we getting the lame signature icons instead of the champion portraits?

There was heavy backlash last time with the scrapped icon from people who main the champion but don't care about esport. Like, Taliyah Mains wanted to get her icon and had to pay around 1100 more RP for an icon which was cut out of the splashart. Especially since it will cost 2 time as much as a normal border icon. They changed it so signature so only people who actualy eSport fans gonna get it. Also, did you saw that splashart? It would be HELLA difficult to keep the different champions apart.
