Anyone else feel like Jarvan in Dark Star feels a bit...misplaced?

Look, I'm fairly certain a lot of J4 mains and so on are happy that he got another skin (I mean on my list he's 7 for longest time without a skin at 1230 days), but was Dark Star really the best concept for him to be added in?

I mean, ok, I did make a Candidates post about this some time ago and explained it that there are some champs like Kha and Varus that don't fully fit the black hole feel but they're still in (which is now making me sound a bit like a hypocrite), but as it is right now Jarvan doesn't really fit a whole lot. IDK maybe I'm just being stupid with my opinion and this is going to get downvoted but as it is right now it just doesn't feel quite right.

Maybe if they add a black hole effect with the ult arena it could look or feel a bit better.

The problem with adding a black hole to the arena is that people will confuse the area of the black hole with the area of a different skill since the normal ultimate of Jarvan doesnt have any effect there since nothing happens there... there is no damage or anything like that, but adding a black hole may confuse players into thinking that the area of the black hole acually deals damage or something.

Yeah, my first thoughts on the skin were that Jarvan felt a bit out of place with this theme. Personally I think Kha'zix and Varus make sense. It's sort of this darker, edgier look. Dark and edgy kinda fit all the champions in this theme at the moment.

-Thresh is a chain whipping sadist from the shadow isles. -Varus (I guess it still works with the new lore) is a 2 guys and a Darkin who was trapped in isolation at the bottom of a well in Ionia and is now free and goes on a killing spree. -Kha'zix is a gnarly looking bug assassin from the void that wants to consume and adapt. -Orianna was a girl who got so sick that pretty much her entire body had to be replaced with machines, and had an intense inner struggle about her identity as a living being

Jarvan... Is Jarvan. A Demacian prince. Doesn't strike me as a dark-star kinda guy. But hey, at least we can do a full dark star team comp now!

Jarvin never seemed the kind of champion that would use mystical etherial space powers. He's a hands on, face to steel fighter. It's odd seeing him cloaked head to toe in sorcery.

Varus and thresh use dark powers for an advantage, and ori has an easier time falling into that space with her mysterious ball

J4 seems like the rogue character of the dark star here imo.

Still plenty of other better options for j4 skins

skins look cheap other than jarvan's actual model. Specially the ult and Q looks super lame. W, P and e are fine

I think the reason why so many Jarvan players are uncomfortable with this skin stems from the knowledge that Jarvan had so many superior skin opportunities available for him. Now that he has gotten THIS skin tho, it will be a while before he receives another.

Agreed, seems rather out of place. This theme would look pretty awesome on Darkin, Void and Shadow Isles champions. Standard human bruisers would always feel out of place in this kind of theme.
