Aatrox's character was in fact better before the rework. He was a calm and collected force of nature. He had a cool chain sword that really tied together his draining and bloody rip and tear thematic
Now he's just an angry screaming russian with a normal sword
New Aatrox is far cooler and more complex then "Ohhh fight for me oohhhhh I help whoever isnt winning until I want to help a different army ooooooooh look at my cool sword it doesnt actually whip like a whip it just looks kinda like one ooooooh"

Y'all are stupid if you like the new aatrox rework. It's litteraly just riven 2.0 fucking riot and their infinite wisdom just copy and pasted rivens kit into aatroxes and called it a day
To be fair, I think they are planning on reintroducing the calm force of nature Aatrox for a pre-imprisonment Darkin skin line.
Secondly, there is going to be a Darkin with a chain, so it's better to differentiate them.
Thirdly, I like Aatrox's more human struggles, and while his gameplay rework has been hit or miss, overall I think the Darkin mythos is doing fine.
