What if we had a Skin-based version of what Riot is doing with this Thunderdome thing?

After taking a look at Riot's Thunderdome thing that they're doing, I thought to myself: "What were to happen if there was a skin-based sort of thing, where people would take their own designs, and then work together as some sort of team to try to make that skin a reality?"

Now I know we've got places like the Art and Concept boards, but hear me out here. Instead of that, what if we created an actual contest where people would submit their own skin concepts, with the best ones being picked by Riot's Skin team and given prototype splashes, with the finalists getting voted on at the end and the winner becoming an official League skin? It could be a good way for people to show off their creative talent, and a good way for riot to find creative new skin lines to work with.

Perhaps this would make it so certain champs who deserve a couple more skins would get them instead of the more popular champs who seem to get one each year (looking at you Ahri). Just a thought :)
