Is there any possibility that Malzahar may become a Void creature?

Although Malzahar is a Void champion, he is not a Voidborn, he is just a human with Void powers.

However, after seeing his new splash art, some people have theorized that Malzahar is not a human anymore. The void powers completely consumed him, and this is proven by the third eye that he has now on the new splash art. Notice that Voidborn Fizz and Illaoi had a third eye to represent how they were Void corrupted versions of the champions.

A rioter also said that the Rift Herald is actually a Rift Scuttler that has transformed into a Voidborn creature with the Void powers from the Baron Nashor pit.

Is there any possibility that Malzahar became, or will become, a Voidborn, just like actual Voidborn creatures like Kog'Maw or Rek'Sai?

I wouldn't call him voidborn, just because he was corrupted by the void, doesn't make him voidborn.

And well given the fact that Baron Nashor looks a lot like a krakenwyrm I'd say it is not impossible for him to be a sea serpent that was corrupted by the void.

I don't think Malzahar will ever mutate to the degree of someone like, say, Cho'Gath. Partially because that would require a total model rework.

I do think the third eye and changes like that are likely to happen, but I think, if the Void has sort of a hive mind, as implied in Aurelion Sol's story, it's to their best interest that Malz doesn't appear too monstrous. He's the Prophet, his job is pretty much recruitment. He tries to convert people into cultists, like the ones in Zaun where he sacrificed Kassadin's daughter. People are probably a lot less likely to listen to him if he's got talons for hands and giant horns on his neck.
