The point is, these characters should have had their animations updated when they got their VU. The precedent for VUs prior to Fiora, Miss Fortune, Shen, Maokai, Singed, and Alistar were Heimerdinger, Karthus, Sivir, and Tristana. Every one of these 4 champs got the entire run of animations, new VOs, and new particles, and they even got the minor kit updates. Even champions VUs during and after these VUs got the whole run of things - Gangplank got his kit refined and his looks and sounds overhauled when Miss Fortune got her "VU." Ryze after them got the same treatment as Gangplank. It's also notable that every single one of these champs got their kits changed to modernize them, just like the Heimer/Karthus/Sivir/Tristana VUs. Therefore, it makes absolutely no sense as to why Riot decided to half ass Fiora, Miss Fortune, Shen, Maokai, Singed, and Alistar by not giving them the animation and audio updates that all of the VUs surrounding them received. I don't want to have Miss Fortune with a non-looping dance and her awkward idle poses for another 5 years until she hits rock bottom and needs a full VGU to get rid of her outdated movements. I want her, and these other champions, to be brought up to standard so that they can enjoy the full run of modern design and not be a blight on the game in terms of how they move, sound, and act, despite having the outward appearance of a revitalized champ. Putting a new coat of paint on a rotting house doesn't make the house suddenly brand new - it's still a rotting house beneath the paint. All I want is for these champions to have the full modernization they deserve since Riot has pretty much already put in a lot of effort to getting them half way there.
