I think Riot is secretly ashamed of Aatrox and that's why he never gets the love he needs

It's like that weird dark and edgy OC you once made and you thought was suuuuuuuuper cool and serious when you were 13 and are now totally embarassed by it, but in this case the OC has a small but potentially really vocal fanbase, so outright deleting it is not possible and instead you just let it rot somewhere in a dark corner and hope it will be forgotten soon so that you can rework it into something completly new when no one is looking.

I feel bad for the poor guy tho - maybe if we had some more complexity to the Darkin they might appear less like "demonic edgelords"... pokes at the current lore writers Guys, are the Darkin even still a thing?
