Why not bash Vi last year for getting 2 skins in the same year - Warring Kingdom and PROJECT - or Jhin - Blood Moon and PROJECT, or hell, why is no one bashing Twisted Fate, who, like Riven, ALSO got a skin last year - Blood Moon. Twisted Fate also has 10 skins already (compared to Riven's 7), so why is no one up in arms about him? Why is Riven so hated here?

But when you have champions like Ezreal and Ahri getting high quality skins year after year, and then champions like Yorick, Evelynn and Jarvan getting rushed skins that are not worth their prices after god knows how many years of waiting, it would piss off a lot of people.

How you wrote it, it implies that Jhin didn't get backlash for getting so many skins back then and you think it is unfair that Riven now gets the hatred. Which is not true, since Jhin got alot of criticism as well.
In general, it's probably because Riven got a really high quality legendary skin attached to a really big and successful event (please give us more VS events, Riot) and she gets alot of attention in general, since she is a popular champion.
People get tired of always seeing the same champions getting cool stuff.

Oleandervine1 votesYou are aware that without skins for popular champions, they can't support their business and make skins for less popular champions, right? They have to make money, and popular champions sell. The only reason we have Shen and Yorick skins is because of skins for Riven and Ahri.
Because they could had worked the idea (pulsefire) in another champs. Like camillie. Or urgot. Or kayn. You know, ones that either have more than a single year since they got their last skin or the ones that still have only one alternate skin.
