Another Vi & Jinx theory (or: "Is Zaun trying to create a biologically enchanced supersolider?")

So, they are sisters? Nope. It's a bit more complicated I think... I had a certain thought when I asked myself about how Vi and Jinx are connected... and then I realized: their abilities are amazing... even SUPERHUMAN to some degree. And we all know that Zaun is experimenting with biological augmentation, so it's no weird thing to follow that thought. But why don't the look like Dr. Mundo?

Well, the "enemy" of Zaun is Piltover, a highly developed state. For fighting a war with them you don't need musclebags, but tech-freaks. Saboteurs, that can instantly identify technology and eventually even change it into weapons. That would be Vi, who created her gauntlets from mining equipment in super-time with a mine collapsing on her. Even Heimerdinger admitted her genius mechanic skills... Also, she seems to be a bit stronger than you average human - carrying these fists must take a lot of strenght after all.

Jinx on the other hand... did you ever wonder how her fragile body can carry a rocket launcher, grenades, a minigun and a zap pistol? Plus munition? She seems to be A LOT stronger than her body might let you suspect - while also having a seriously fired up metabolism to generate the energy for that power. That would explain her thin body. Her super-metabolism doesn't even allow her to get fat. The side effect of that seems to be hyperactivity and her insanity...

Now, how are the two connected? I don't think they are sisters in the traditional sense. Since cloning technology isn't confirmed to be possible in Valoran until now I think Zaun just took in orphans at a very young age and experimented on them. They might even be related by blood, but they are more "sisters" in sharing their bio-augments and being in the same experiment.

But why doesn't Vi remember? Why doesn't she remember ANYTHING from her childhood before suddenly waking up on the streets of piltover with god-like mechanic skills?

My theory is that Vi came before Jinx, but she refused to take orders (very much like her I think) and escaped. Then probably hit her head hard or something and lost her memories. Jinx seems to created after that (the X in her name might equal roman 10. And 10>6. It seems to be their "serial number"). Whoever seemed to have supervised the process tried to desperatly avoid something like Vi escaping and created her with the total opposite and mind. (than might explain why their unnatural hair and eye-colors are swapped, as well how their personalities are total opposites at some points.).

I guess that something went wrong and Jinx broke out. With nowhere to go she chased after the only person she could relate to: her "sister", who was created by the very same project.

Another possibility could be that Zaun gave her a bunch of weapons, dropped her in Piltover and just said "go wild".

Hmm another though about these roman numerals... there is still the phantom thief "C" (=100). I think that one comes form the same project, but he seems to have superior intelligence and speed. Another product of a human modification program? Who knows...

We might see more... "extraordinary" people coming from Zaun in the future...

I like this theory, glad I'm not the only one who thought this! It leaves so many possibilities for awesome story ideas. I'd love to see Game Theory tackle this one, but there are probably better topics out there -_-

They are both crazy and very prone to violence, but just in different ways.

It is implied that they are from the Zaun area, and their origins are, for the most part, unknown. In the blog topic "Jinx and Vi's Family Ties: "Facts, Myths and Theories" " GypsyLord made 2 interesting comments about Vi's past:

** "Vi was orphaned at an extremely young age. A combination of her youth at the time and whatever trauma she suffered has left her with absolutely zero memories of her past and any family she may have had. I can't say whether or not Vi has a sister but I can say that if she did have one she would not be able to remember her.

Vi's name is from her tattoo, not the other way around. She's had that "VI" on her cheek for as long as she can remember, and so when she was first on the streets and people asked her name and she had none to give them they just started using the most distinguishing thing about her: the tattoo. Whatever family she may have had might have given her a "real" name at one point but she can't remember it." **

So the two most likely things about Vi may be: Escaped slave, or Escaped experiment. Also it is interesting that Jinx chooses "X" as her signature instead of the more obvious "J", but there could be another reason for that. Personally I lean towards experiment, but who knows, maybe its both, or maybe its neither -_-

So about superhuman abilities: Yeah, they are both above average intellectually, and they both seem to have some physical aspect of them that is a bit above normal.

I think Vi has super strength, because those gauntlets she uses are absolutely enormous, she swings them effortlessly, there isn't too much on her armor that suggests it is holding them up (except maybe that thing on her back, but that could also just be a power generator for the gloves, or it could be the blast shield generator).
She also seems to be slightly faster than usual. I mean, how is her starting move speed 350, even when she is carrying all that stuff? Maybe because she's a jungler or a top laner or something -_-, I don't know. So yeah, I think she is super strong.

I think Jinx on the other hand has super speed, for one main reason: her passive "Get Excited!". When she kills or closely assists in a turret, inhibitor, or champ kill, she gets a massive movement speed boost. Good for chasing down a potential kill, or for escaping. She would also need to be kind of strong to carry all those guns, but then again so would those shoulder straps she uses to carry them. Or maybe the guns are light enough so the straps don't break. Both are possible, but you would still need a pretty good back to carry all that stuff.

So I think it is possible (and cool if true) that both Vi and Jinx could be the products of biological enhancement.

Or maybe not, maybe they are both that way because it is just a fantasy video game where everyone potentially has super powers, and that it doesn't have to make sense as long as its fun. But that explanation is just too boring -_-.

ALRIGHTY Im gonna say something to add on to this Theory, this might explain why Jinx is Insane.... Ekko, three of his taunts are "You forgot your roots, Vi" "You'll always be Zaun to me" and finally the most confirming theory that Vi is from Zaun, "One day you'll return to Zaun" ... What I pick up from this is, Vi is either Ekko's Lover, Sibling, or old friends (perhaps from Zaun's "superhuman boosterthingymabobber"). Another of my theories is that, What if Jinx (since supposedly Vi is confirmed younger than Jinx) tried to save Vi and when she was taken away, the Zaun scientists took away Jinx's memory of Vi but left her knowing she had a sister, and went Insane from her constantly trying to figure out who her sister is. Later on they took Jinx away for testing. Or Maybe they had 10 subjects, and lets say only 3 survived (I HAVE A FEELING EKKO IS ONE OF THE SUBJECTS) Vi was the Sixth, Jinx the Tenth the last subject, Ekko I dont know which number. They all escaped and Ekko maybe developed some sort of power to turn time, but lost it and became an engineer and can turn time again. I really hope someone makes this work more and Riot leaves us some mooooooore information. :D

Where did this theory of Vi and Jinx being super soldiers? Vi's Strength comes from her gauntlets-* Mainly* She may have developed muscles from using them over the years but come on, how do people not see this.

Gauntlets people.... Also Jinx shows no signs of super human activity......
