We had to make it known to Riot that we didn't like the first draft of this. Hell, what Ironstylus said on Reddit made it sound like he didn't care what others thought and was going to ship it out because it was the style they wanted.

The comment is more on the lines of, "If the character in question isn't "hot" then she's ugly, and therefore it is bad character design unless she is archetype ugly." Like, she's an old groady witch. If that was her archetype, nobody would bat a lash. Especially if it came out first like that.

But, you know, we can say it's social justice or any other stupid thing.

If it was a new champion, I wouldn't give a damn about the look. The problem is, that it is a champion that already has a defined aesthetic that we have come to appreciate and acknowledge as "hey, that is clearly Fiora right there."

You simply aren't supposed to change a champions aesthetic in radical ways without giving the option of choice between the two (such as the case of skins). Literally that artwork that they represented at first did not look like Fiora, it might have been a distant cousin or something, but it was not Fiora. And THAT is the problem.

Yeah, and name one good reason to change the old art. It wasn't outdated in the least and the model looked better than the ones they've put out so far - even after the fixes.

All they're doing is taking baby steps changing VU Fiora sorta back into the old Fiora. It's ridiculous.

I'm wondering when they'll realize this whole idea is fucking retarded and just go back to the old art/model with maybe some texture updates on the model. Probably not. Just more tweaks before they force this through.

But the old art was outdated, it simply did not fit in with the current artistic direction they are taking in regards to champion design and aesthetic. It was stated these design philosophies and guidelines would be explained to us later because its such a broad subject.

She's not? Riot tried to rework her, players said that rework sucks for this and that reason, Riot still pushed crappy changes and left Cass in such state for 7 months despite of promising that they would keep working on her. They messed her up so badly they decided to buff her numbers to almost broken state despite of her not being fun and unique to play and called it a day.

Riot stated that they want her to be a poison mage, instead they turned her into E machine gun. So much fun.

Stop fangirling everytime Riot does something. Her face is a distaster both in the splash and in her model across all skins. And they justified it with the fact that they've decided that "exageration" fits some of their thematics and that there are more to come in the future. The thing is exagerated FACIAL futures NEVER look good, more so on Fiora's thematic. It's not just the bangs, it's her orc face which looks even more hideous in-game. They better god damn deliver when they fail so hard in the first place. Besides, we're talking about freaking drawings, it's not like they built a space shuttle that evaporated mid-entry.

They did it with Katarina, they did it with Fiora, they're going to do it again. And nobody's going to like it. Horse faced women is something nobody likes, and it serves no artistical purpose appart from appealing to their self induced delusions.

I think her face looks a bit more "chiseled, " more "acute," "sharp."

I think it fits perfectly thematically considering the fact that she's a fencer, and also with her new gameplay changes.

Honestly, I think her face looks so bad I couldn't even begin to characterise it based on thematical aspects, and it looked disgusting when the splash released.

I think a more sharp and acute look could be used simply by drawing her gaze that way. I also see no point in exagerated facial features, since not only are they unappealing, but reach the uncanny valley. Sort of like, "I know how this is supposed to look, but it creeps me out".

I'm not one of those who'd badmouth and downvote everyone who doesn't think the new Fiora looks like crap. I actualy really like her body, her suit and sword, her haircut. Both in game and in the splash, only that Royal Guard skin looked trully hideous no matter what, and Nightraven looks really good(glad I bought it a while back). My only issue is her face. The face just killed it for me :/ . Oh, I also respect other opinions, so there's that.

I guarantee you if we had "Asked nicely," we'd still be sitting here with Fiora doing her best cosplay of Cruella de Vil crossed with Sarah Jessica Parker. We asked nicely for Riot to fix Cassiopeia. That worked so wonderfully that the guy in charge of her rework literally dropped the project to work on Fiora.

Only difference I see is the chin and the eyebrows. I guess I can see why people where upset about it.
