. I think it'd be really cool if it became Irelia's weapon post-update, kind of like Gargoyle Stoneplate became Galio's shortly after his VGU -- especially since it's such a core item on her.

Divers aren't supposed to escape easily inside of the enemy team.

Muzét1 votesSkirmisher is an assassin subclass tho. And imo sur could be more of an assassin than a diver post rework. Being able to control blade for afar and since she's bound to them she might be able to pull herself in and out of teamfights.

So no, skirmisher is not an assassin subclass. I respect your opinion, if you see her as an assassin, was just stating that, like I said, I doubt it.
Especially since they want to preserve Irelia's playstyle as much as possible like they said and escaping is not part of that currently.

Imo she would be an ad caster. So yeah, She'll definitely fall into the slayers class. I personally hope for a mid position since I lack AD there.

Linna Excel1 votesReally hard to say. TF works on irelia because of the reset her Q gets and because of her barrage ult. In the past I've seen gameplay devs talk about how her ult is too bursty, so I expect her to lose the interaction.

I could never see people talking about Irelia's Q reset because in a real fight she never uses a Q reset except maybe off of a ranged minion to get into range of the middle of the enemy team if the back line is playing far up.
Muzét1 votesAt level 5, its CD is short enough to be used as a gapclose. Coupled with CDR it's fine. Keeping her Q doesn't mean it won't receive changes. It might be reset on getting a kill or assist (just like Kata cd) who knows?

Leyin1 votesI think Swain got something like this too, I think it is just a first quick draw that should show the direction, ofc she will still use blades, so using a Trinity icon that is some kind of balance between diffrent weapons ( maybe hyprid) is a good idea.

Chembaron Yamada1 votesDon't think she will stay hybrid, probably completely AD focused. It seems that Riot is trying to remove hybrid scaling slowly from the game, with just some exceptions, which are basically defined in their identity as being hybrid, like Akali.
I don't see this applying to Irelia.
And if she is going to stay a diver, there is no reason to think she will get health scaling (mostly for tanks).

Though Camille and Vi and Kled has hp scaling in their kit just not on their damage but on their survivability which incentivises not going damage but going hp.
These are not 2 damage items into tanks 
thats building sub tank into full tank.
