Summoner's rift has been updated, a mass texture rebalancing has been started, visual upgrades have been done, summoner's spells icons have been updated, ability icons of a few champions have been updated, mass splash art updates has been done... Edit: Even some summoner's icons are getting an update.
BUT
We still have the old season 1 icons for most items. Can we hope for a mass item icon update soon?

I was talking about item icons, not summoner's icons. But you reminds me that they're updating summoner's icons too. :D
LANWhale1 votesoh...well ya know...wraith icon is life. The only thing i'm waiting for is the Gromp icon. All hail our lord and savior, Gromp. Seriously though, without Gromp jungle would be 10x harder, we also can't forget about that young Krugg life.
About the item icons I wouldn't expect any time soon really. Not that they don't care but well, there are alot of things they have to update before they can fully update item icons. They might sneak some in every now and then, I can only assume remaking those icons wouldn't be to hard but well you never know.
