New Darius splash art inconsistent with his lore

I know this isn't the first time it's been brought up, but the new Darius flash art really only showcases one of Darius's aspects, strength.

But Darius isn't some moronic brute named Sion. He's refined.

His combat style is refined, his weaponry and armor are refined, his intelligence is seen in his political endeavors with Swain. His calmness is seen in the stories about his battlefield endeavors.

So why did we go from a splash art that showcased strength, calmness, and Darius's grim nature to a splash art that makes him look like a mad barbarian?

This skin splash shows a different aspect of his personality. He is a barbarian when he gets in his battle rage, they sre showcasing this here. Cmon when he dunks your entire team you know all he sees is red

Because riot doesn't seem to care about his lore at all. While his new splash art is pretty, the old one reflected his personality way more

Actually it looks like his splash is also to mirror Garen's. Their pose is similar and they are both on a battlefield.
