Are we ever getting answers to misteries?

Whenever I read interesting theories like this one, or have an awesome animation like PROJECT: OVERDRIVE, I get in the edge of my sit and makes me want the follow up.

The small bit where it says that Yi's real name could be Youmuu's because of the similarities between Yi and Youmuu's Ghostblade is interesting. Why don't we have the item's background story to read?

Another example, who killed the elder? THAT is the mistery. It's what makes that particular story interesting and intriguing. We all hope it to be something good and juicy -- Because we've seen Yasuo trope before...

So I think of the writters, did they thought of it themselves already?

Please, don't pull a Zuko and not tell us what happened to Yasuo's mother. Zuko at least had his evolution as a character and his inner conflict going for him, which is interesting in itself to watch in the series. What does Yasuo have? The mistery of who killed the elder. Without it it's just another wanderer who's in search of his Ridemption -__-" --

This is the same with the PROJECT: OVERDRIVE. We saw those visions, ok. And that's about it? PROJECT isn't cannon, ok, fine. But the visions might be relevant. Are we going to have the explanation on PROJECT? Are they clones? Were they incubated? Revived? Robots? -- And regardless, PROJECT is finished, done and released. Are we getting the story to read now?

I mean the first idea had a "50-page presentation detailing how a legendary Yi skin could fit into an entire universe(...)"

They don't follow up on the interesting leads. The Crimson-coil dagger. What about it? Why not make it special and hint more on it?

I mean, compare it to Jack Sparrow's compass! We always saw it spinning around, rarely pointing at anything, because Jack didn't knew what he wanted, or rather wanted lots of things - Unless he was craving for some booze!

Why wouldn't we get more details on items backgrounds?

The mysteries of the old lore probably remain forever unanswered.(when it comes to skin lore,I think we'll get more info with future skins) However I think that nowadays Riot does think about these mysteries beforehand.

They wouldn't mark Hecarim as a traitor without thinking about who he betrayed and for what reason, they wouldn't have made the dagger be something special without planning ahead, they wouldn't have given us some hints at kalistas backstory without knowing what really happened to her, etc.

However I wouldn't count on them solving these mysteries fast, because if the retcon taught us anything about the new lore, then that it is slow.Even after a year they didn't even finish the retcon,so I wouldn't count on them finishing any stories.

No, because they want you invested in the game as much as possible, giving you vague hopes of something that will probably never be followed up on.

Also when we are talking about Zukos mom, the Avatar team made a comic that basically answered that question, so no mystery there.

All those mysteries that required the IoW now go forever unanswered it seems. Why'd Karthus protect the inhibitor, what the suspicious summoners plan with Brand was, who Jax was in the old lore and more.

So I wouldn't bet on Riot clearing up mysteries. Sure, small stuff like the dagger will probably get answered, but big mysteries might not be answered before Leagues lore shuts down or gets retconned again.
