I actually don't. Because I told you so. All those who panicked, assumed, and mistook perspective for fact when Jayce's Biography came out, I told you "Just wait and see, that's just his side of the story", and lookie there, a rather sympathetic Viktor Biography that shows a man venting with frustration and dealing with ineptitude, with Jayce acting like the hero, when he didn't know all the facts.

And though I'm not pointing out names, I'd like to especially point this at you, man who called me a Troll, not a true Viktor fan, because I wasn't jumping on the bandwagon of crying about a single side perspective.

Yes, this is extremely petty, but look who's laughing now.

Let's be real, here. The reason Viktor's lore is so weird and "I'm the GOOD guy!!" is because of the complaints and fears. Pididly, the Zaunite school, VIktor's constant and almost overbearingly overstated philanthropy - it feels out of place and even diverts from the main narrative.

Those are last-minute additions. :P

I get the feeling that the original story would've been much different.

Dude. The Glorious Evolution not being centered around Viktor, but rather it being a movement to improve humanity, is something Viktor players and lore enthusiasts have parroted for literally years. He's the Machine HERALD. A herald is just a messenger, not a central figure for whatever philosophy he represents. They absolutely were not last minute additions.

The GE has always been a product of Viktor's mental instability (oh the hypocrisy), brought out from repeated betrayals. Except now it's two betrayals, not one.

I don't blame you though, you're literally falling for the same thing all Viktor fans (like myself) fell for when Jayce's lore got released. Like no shit, Viktor's going to say he's the good guy. What kind of person straight up says "I'm the BAD GUY!"??? Viktor's lore and color story will portray him as the good guy while making Jayce look like an asshole. Similarly, Jayce's color story and lore piece made him look like the good guy, while making Viktor look like a murdering psychopath. Remember the sawed off heads, "removing free will" idea, and sending drugged up henchmen in a predictable and cliche manner?

Riot is doing away with the omnipotent 3rd party perspective, so we will never know the absolute truth about either character's motives; it's up to the reader's interpretation and can actually make room for discussion.

I honestly feel like Viktor is more of a good guy than Jayce, because Vik actually cares about others as seen in his little short story, whereas Jayce is just a self-seeking dickhead.

It's also not true. Viktor, morally, is a good person with good intentions. But his Glorious Evolution will remove everything human about being human and will likely bring about a chaotic future. Jayce may be an insufferable asshole, but by all intentions he is correct in his foresight. We have knowingly side with the arrogant hero and put down the likable but unfortunately dangerous villain.

Haha I had to hold back from posting this... but I'm low-key happy that someone else did. I was so annoyed at all that.

We literally told them that Viktor's side of the story would change everything. I even postulated that he was trying to save people's lives with those damn golems, and those idiots tried to shut me down without even seeing his side. Maximum dum-dums.

One day a Rioter comes out of their hiding and proclaims that the entirety of the lore isn't canon. Without the community's consent or opinion. Then we are left for 2 years with nothing.

The other time they say that Karma's going to get relaunched and after a week the relaunch lands on live servers. Without the community's consent or opinion. Then after 4 years (2013 was it?) of countless mindless changes she's but a shadow of her former self.

That's really funny, haha, because Riot has never needed our consent or opinion to do something. If they wanted the Lore reworked, they were going to rework the lore regardless of your opinion. Why? Because people dislike change, and they'd rather have something basic but familiar, than branch out into new territory.

Honestly, and this is where I may sound a bit rude, I don't get where this source of "The Community should be listened to!" comes from. We've already seen what happens when Riot listened with us for balance, and while I sympathize with Karma fans, they don't need our consent to do jackshit. It's hard to listen objectively to a community where you don't know where/what the vocal minority is, because the Boards is still a pretty small sample size of the community, which is where a lot of the difficulty comes from.

It stops being funny when you do something that your customers do not want.

Take NA for example. Compared to June 2016 only 55% of ranked population remains. Now, before you'll think something like "but it's just the beginning of the year", nearly all other servers remain in 20% range of their status in June.

As for balance, the door swings both ways. When they don't listen they also fail. Think of every Syndra main that spoke against MYMU despite it being buffs. If they at the very least considered what we had to say, we'd skip all this bullshit of permanent 7-sphere ults going on for nearly a whole year.

Clearly when Rito doesn't listen and fail it's fine. When Rito listens and it fails, then the community is bad and doesn't know shit and Rito should never ever listen to us again.

I was actually shocked when i looked up OP.gg and Na only had around 800k ranked players. It used to be more than 1 1/2 EUW is at currently 2,6 or something not too far from 3,5 it usually had

There was a mistake in my previous post. I checked that on June 3rd, not July.

Here are exact numbers:

NA - 1,551,654 KR - 2,830,454 EUW - 2,498,062 EUNE - 1,216,137 JP - 67,507 OCE - 180,291 BR - 872,251 LAS - 398,244 LAN - 381,727 RUS - 136,872 TUR - 538,897

There are two outliers. NA and OCE have have basically half the people playing ranked than the last year.
