Skins you really like when the League Community dislikes it?

A lot of people, even the mains seem to dislike Barbecue Leona for some reason.

I'm not sure if it's because it's a 750 RP skin, if it's a joke skin, or doesn't suit them ... but I keep seeing "it's ugly!" or "worse skin ever". To me, it's a very well polished skin, her face looks nicely modeled (unlike Pool Party), the textures are up to our current standards in graphics, and I love the theme. Also, I love seeing Leona's hair ... to many of her other skins had her hair covered by a helmet or something to block the view.

It's probably my favorite skin, and I main her so imagine how often I wear the skin lol.

Question: What is your guy's favorite skin, or the skins that you enjoy while most of League seems to dislike it?

Huh, I didn't know people disliked BBQ Leona. That's interesting but not my problem. BBQ Leo is easily in my top 3 Leo skins with PROJECT & Pool Party.

Anyway as for the main question: I don't know. When I look at a skin, I care about MY opinion of the skin. How other people feel about it doesn't matter so I don't pay too much attention to their opinion.

Deep Sea Nami.

There's some debate about it because when people imagined a dark Nami skin, they thought about and wanted this:

So when Deep Sea went up on the PBE, a few people were disappointed because it still maintains her cute personality and pretty look (not that the piece I linked to makes her look ugly). Tons of comments were lists of improvements that could be made, but of course it was too late for Riot to make any changes besides bug fixes.

I do agree that I would have loved the "Sea Witch" skin, but I'm happy with Deep Sea. I love the look, I love the particles, this is exactly the kind of skin I was hoping to get for her and I use it in every game I play her. The splash art will go nicely with level 6/7 mastery banners. ;)

I am a proud Commando Lux user even though people hate it.

There's this sorta weird thing about Lux where people think her skins don't fit her because they're military themed. But, this is a woman who was, as a child, born into a military family, dragged from her home to get brainwashed into joining the military, and still works with the military. The cheerful thing is a front she puts on because she's so intensely screwed up.

Lux's lore is really good and sad and people kinda brush that off with "Why isn't she a cheerleader yet" sometimes. I get fanon and stuff, and that's fine, no ill will there, I just actually really like that skin and a lot of her disliked skins.

Also it fits with my ridiculous Beret Jarvan.

Everyone seemed to hate that she was getting the season 4 victorious skin, but I really liked it + I was a Morg main at the time, idk if people still hate it as much..

But the amount of hate that skin got when it was announces, sheesh... [zombie-nunu-bummed]

I know some people didn't like slayer jinx because they thought it wasn't that different from her normal skin, but I really like it.

I agree with you though, barbecue leona is probably my favorite one of her skins.

Wicked Lulu. I never see any Lulu wearing anything but Pool Party. And it's a shame, Cause Wicked Lulu is a great looking skin.

For me it's Championship Shyvana . Many people don't like that skin but I simply love it.

I like BBQ Leona , but PROJECT: Leona and Iron Solari Leona are so good that I can't put BBQ Leona into a good enough position :(
