The lore doesn't specify that Trundle that is any bigger or smaller than the other trolls, only that he is a lot more clever/intelligent.

Pre-VGU Trundle was not only Smaller and more Lithe than other, more intense trolls, but far more intelligent, hence why he was sent to the IoW to try and find a cure for their Plague. Pre-VGU trundle was also FAR nastier.

Actually he's a runt compared to males.

Big cats usually have a pretty sizeable difference between males and females, and I suspect that Rengar's species is the same. Who knows if he's smaller than the lionesses (who probably need to be smaller to be more agile).
