I'm not upset that Lux is getting yet another skin ...

What does upset me, however, is how identical she looks to her ultimate skin (aka Elementalist Lux)

Riot, you guys could of at least tried making her look more unique. I know for a fact you reused the same model / assets from her ultimate skin to make this. The face is no doubt, the same as her ultimate's and those shoulders ... they're the same structure as the ultimate's too. The whole point of making new skins; is to add onto variety. I literally feel like it's just an add on to her ultimate skin line, but without the option for choosing the other alternatives within her ultimate.

I dare say, this feels more like a chroma for he ultimate skin line than being it's own skin. Unless ... that was intentional?

It's literally riot saying. Hey I know you can't afford the ultimate skin. How about you pay us for this chroma you can buy separately so we can still take your money?

This is a dumb complaint though. When riot makes a skin they have to either use the base model and work with that or make a new model but that only happens for legendary skins. Them taking elementalist lux model base over her classic skin is a no brainer. It is the logical decision that gives them a lot more freedom in what they can do with the skin since elem. Lux is newer. It doesn't look like a chroma, it doesn't look like any of the elementalist forms. It has it's own unique textures etc. Basically you are upset about them making the skin higher quality thanks to using elemetalist model as a base instead of her outdated classic.

Glad to know I'm not the only one seeing the similarities o_O I main her, own all the skins (yes, even the fugly commando one), and I noticed immediately how close the models are here. What will either make the skin sink or swim for me is how they do the actual skills.

Maybe give her pants could be great, with that stance she has pants fit her very well and better than skirts. (exception for SG who has an updated model and Elementalist with a whole new model) I was also expecting more covering outfit, kinda sad her pink chroma features a boob window. Overall the skin is quite pretty but should be differenciated to Elementalist. Elementalist is supposed to be the "higher" form of Lux, an exclusivity. If she gets a new skin, it should be "back" to how the regular Lux is. I mean, i like diversity and all but Lux getting back her identity on a simple 1350RP skin would be more fitting imo.

Elementalist Lux pretty much fills in any thematic gap for Lux that wasnt already been filled in with her previous skins.

I said this in another thread but I believe Lux was chosen because she had leftover concepts for elementalist that never made it into the final skin. With a bit of editting they save money on designers and get to cash in on something that woulda been thrown away.

It hardly matters... almost all the Lunar Revel skins are dogshit awful anyways. Just stick with the ultimate skin for her. Or if you're a REAL Lux player... Spellthief. Spellthief Lux is best Lux.
