Let's talk a bit about Order of the lotus Irelia splash?

I'ma start with this: I abosolutely love what you guys did with Irelia, her kit looks great. And talking about skins - wow. Aviator Irelia has probably the best splash I've seen. However - I feel kinda disapointed looking at Lotus Irelia splash art. I feel a little bit attatched to it, as it was the first skin I actually bought a few seasons back. It was the best skin back then - and the splash was better even than Frostbutt's.

While little did you change on it I do not have the same feeling while I watch it now. It used to have this cute, yet cold looks, saying "You are in my lotus sanctuary and I will hurt you!". The new one is still cure, but it just doesn't have the same look. She looks like a girl, that went to a disco, and her eyes say "like my picture on Instagram". That's not a nesseseryly bad thing, do not get me wrong! I am not SJW-ing, just damn, the old look fitted her so wel!

Where are you getting any of those character traits you placed on her? They changed her face because her base model and look changed, and they carried that design through her new splash arts.

The facial expression is just about identical, it’s still that semi-serious look, but without as much resting bitch face.

I was disappointed with the splash too, mainly the face in the new one. Everything else is fine, very serene, peaceful and tranquility. The blades behind her is just... divine. The face, however, is awful and distracting. She doesn't look Asian anymore, almost too Caucasian, which is almost borderline whitewashing. Her face in the original is fine, I don't understand why they couldn't leave that alone while changing everything else to fit her new kit.

They did an amazing job with her rework, her kit, the splashes for all of her other skins BUT her Lotus skin. I am tremendously disappointed that they just shit on her Lotus skin.. her blades look like shit, her splash sucks, and her abilities have the same effects and animations as her base one. :/ Just my opinion though. Everything else was rad.

The before for order of the lotus looks better

But her other ones look better now (nightblade and infiltrator)

Ya know, I’m not gonna lie: I personally find Irelia’s new face to be more accurate to Ionian heritage. I know that there are certain Greek references in Ionian culture, but the asthetics and lifestyle of Ionia is predominantly Asian. Looking at the two splashes side to side, the new splash frankly represents that heritage more closely imo.

I'm fine with the new one BUT ONE ASPECT: They need to fix her lips as it appeared on the old one. It was beautiful and elegant, however the one on the updated splash just looks like a standard, one-in-ten splashes.
