My current concerns about the lore...

First of all let me clarify some things : I love leagues current lore! I think riots decision to seperate it from the game was fantastic and i have supported most of the changes that riot has done thus far. My cocnerns are not about the quality of the stories they are about : 1) their progression and 2) The ''tendency'' that riot has lately for fan pandering ! let me explain each of my points in detail !

about the (1) : I think that we all can agree on this...Stories do not progress in a satisfying manner .And yes i know that lol is a moba but since the great retcon lore and game are not related in any manner , so where the problem actualy lies? Even if gankplank or miss fortune die they can still stay in the game... I just want to know if the stories i have fallen in love with will actualy get a proper ending , it would be so nice if riot could confirm that !

about the (2) :That is the somewhat controversial point of my thread however i want to make clear that my intention is not to insult anyone or to create needless drama..I firmly beleive that a great writer(s) must not try to satisfy the entirity of his audience when that contradicts his vision for the story...dont get me wrong iam not against feedback but** most of the times** those that oppose the narrative team do not provide any real feedback ..they are just an angry mob that blindly hate on anything new with no real arguments..And yet riot is trying to tailor the lore according to their whim ( karma revert , varus recent changes)...Sure this attitude have not proven that catastrophic yet but they may be problematic in the long run...

Anyway i hope you share you own opinion with me ..maybe i have overlook something important that solves one or both of my problems!

edit 1 : when i am reffering to the varus changes i mean the ones that came with the aatrox update!

The ''tendency'' that riot has lately for fan pandering !

Could you perhaps provide examples of this "fan pandering"?

The lore of the game is ever progressive, though. They still have a ton of stuff left to flesh out. Think of it like this: With every new champion and every new rework, the lore progresses. Count how many "old" champions we have left to see renewed, and you would have an estimate of how long it would take for Riot to actually make a story with a clear progression and satisfying ending. For the time being, we have to be satisfied with whatever they can conjure up in the meantime.

We all have differing opinions on the lore, but I think that the lore has been working properly (though I do slightly dislike the decision they made with the whole Darkin and Shurima connection).

I firmly beleive that a great writer(s) must not try to satisfy the entirity of his audience when that contradicts his vision for the story...dont get me wrong iam not against feedback but most of the times those that oppose the narrative team do not provide any real feedback ..they are just an angry mob that blindly hate on anything new with no real arguments..And yet riot is trying to tailor the lore according to their whim ( karma revert , varus recent changes)...Sure this attitude have not proven that catastrophic yet but they may be problematic in the long run...

That is exactly what I am afraid of as well. Sometimes, the feedback is great. Other times, it's complete shit.

In the end, I share your opinion on most the stuff here.

Agree, It really bugs me that stories get started and are left there to literally rot and decay for years and years and then when the moment comes for some light for the story then again the circle goes on and on... and the fans get tired of waiting and lose interest. And the thing is others do like constant cinematics or comics and we only get comics time to time and cinematics not really. And the thing is this is one of the most if not the most played game which means that the company has resources and like less then 5% are spend on the story behind the game that people love to play for years..
