New Blood Moon skins a let down?

I'm sure everyone has probably seen the new Blood Moon teaser poster, as well as the video. Everyone's hyped Blood Moon Diana and Jhin have finally arrived, but maybe it's not all that people expect. Seeing that there's four new skins, instead of two or even three, it's highly likely that they will be 750 RP quality, which at best...isn't very good at all.

Most 750 skins tend to lack new particle effects, backing animations, and varying animations in general. This would be a real letdown for the Blood Moon skin line, since (most) of the Blood Moon skins tend to be very high quality, except for the earlier skins such as Akali and Shen.

Riot dropping the ball with these very hyped skins (Jhin and Diana specifically) would probably be a real shame for the community and the people who asked for them, but I guess we can only wait and see.

Of course, I could be talking out of my ass and they'll all live up to the quality of previous skins. Perhaps Jhin and Diana are the main focus, since they were the only two that could really be "seen" in the teaser poster.

The choice of TF is the big let down. This champion is raining in skins and the theme looks pretty meh on him from the teaser. At least I'm sure Riot will have nice particles for him.

Blood Moon Yorick or Zyra could work better than TF... hell even Blood Moon Viktor makes more sense.

The way I understood it is: Is him thinking Jhin is a legendary then to his surprise Riot leaked Diana as Legendary.

Where is this leak? Because i've seen people say Jhin is legendary, then turn around and say Diana is legendary. If you ask me, Jhin clearly looks the best.

Tbh I expected Blood Moon Cassio since the theme would fit her spells SFX nice. But Riot doesn't care about snakey skins! :^)

Twisted Fate doesn't even fit with this skin line and yet he already has so many skins. They should've given this to neglected champions smh

thankfully it wasnt like really close to his last skin (cutpurse- 2015 )cause even i would be pissed

but only one other has actually vfx changes

plus two that you cant buy normally

and the one that is legendary priced that we dont mention >.>

I'm happy for you that your main gets a new skin. Same goes to my buddies, they get new skins fairly often too. I'm the only one here still waiting for Zyra hahaha I'm definitely losing patience 😭

i would assume its because riot is really turned off about specifically changing her plants and seeds

which would be dumb if thats the came

Seeing as the three Lunar Revel skins were all 1350RP, I don't see why these four being 1350RP sounds far fetched. I wouldn't be surprised if one was 975RP, but thinking one or more of these are gonna be 750RP is really weird...

Diana looks exactly like she is wearing recoloured Blood Moon Elise's clothes. It looks so lazy and boring imo. The same thing happened for Infernal.

They should have outfitted her like Blood Moon Kalista, or at least done that for all them. They're all pretty average.

I don't know if she's one to have her thighs exposed? The chest looks nice, but I don't know about her thighs.

It looks un-inspired if you ask me. It seems like Diana's only nice skin will continue to be Lunar Goddess for now

It's a kimono right? Kimono's tend to do that. Also, Blood Moon is based on Japanese folklore to begin with. It is fitting imo. Your complaint is very similar ot the people who still think kayle has "boob armor." Let's not start this again.

Do you know what Kimono is? Kimono's don't do that. Not at all. Kimono's literally cover 95% of your body save for you head. My complaint isn't "GIRL SHOULDn"T SHoW BOOBY" My complaint is that it's a crappy skin that looks like it's ripped straight from Elise. They just didn't go far to change the skin from Akali's or Elise's, when there is opportunity to have it looking along the lines of Kalista's which is just downright badass.

Shouldn't we wait to see more of the skins before deciding whether it's a letdown or not? I don't know about you, but I prefer to not use a teaser to judge a product.

I wouldn't say a let down, just unexpected. I'm more disappointed that Yorick didn't get it, considering a lot of us (myself included) thought the teaser showed an eye, which is similar to Yorick's shovel, and the mist from the gate, which resemble Yorick's back. But alas, the wait continues for the guy.

I'm more shocked that Twisted Fate is getting a Blood Moon skin. Seems so random.

Yeah, I definitely agree with that. Twisted Fate doesn't fit at all, and Yorick fits much better. Talon can kind of slide by with the theme, but it seems more leaned towards Ionian and Isles champs. Yorick is even an Isles champ, but I guess Riot forgot about him...again.

How would you know Jhin's is legendary? It's a good assumption, considering his gun is the centerpiece of the teaser, but he seemed equal to the other three in the video.

Usually is 2 skins per blood moon event, Jhin and Talon were leaked before hand (over a week ago) and Jhin is legendary as it is (according to the leak anyway). I just now know is 4 this year so it came as a surprise (wasn't expecting a Diana or Twisted Fate for that matter, even Talon seem kinda a weird choice)

Besides, this is Jhin's second skin after launch, they wouldn't make a Legendary this soon. Examples of Recent Legendaries, Jinx was her 4th skin and Thresh was his 5th skin.

I think it's too early to make a judgement. I mean, all we have seen were the models in a video for a couple of seconds. I admit Blood Moon Twisted Fate doesn't make too much sense but neither does Warring Kingdoms Vi and I'm in love with that skin so I'm keeping my hopes up.

Also since Blood Moon Diana has been wanted for awhile I doubt Riot will drop the ball on this.

I can agree with that. The community has also been wanting a Jhin skin for awhile. Plenty of suggestions and concepts have been suggested. Plus most people seem to really like Jhin as a character. (I main him, so i'm part of that lol) I really hope they're the two "main" skins

Doubt they will be 750 skins. They are mostly 975 to 1350, as all of the Blood Moon skins require particle changes. Shen's is the only one that is 750, even Akali's was 975. Any more then the rest have been at least 975.

Just because we are seeing 4 skins rather then the typical 2-3 skins, isn't an indication of Quality. Star Guardians proved that in the second release, as 4 skins were made there and all were either 1350 or 1820.
