Honor Lock and Progression to Honor 2 Question

Hello,

Just got off a rather intense flaming that got me a deserved 10 game chat restriction. I worked the chat restriction off a couple of days ago, but my honor is still locked. I seem to frequently get multiple honors a game despite the lock, and i'm being much more positive than I was when I earned the restriction.

Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for honor to unlock and then how long it takes to get back to Honor 2 from Honor 1? Is there even enough time left to reasonably do that?

UPDATE: My honor unlocked on 3/26, which is just one day over a week and a total of around 100 games. Hopefully this post will help other people looking to unlock their honor.

If you stay positive and receive no valid reports, it will happen pretty quickly. There's no set formula because it will depend on how much you play.

Honor unlucks on how you behave afther the punishment. The better you behave the faster it unlocks. Last time i was chat restricted it only toke me 1 day to unlock it. And if you going to make it in time to honor lvl 2 comes all down on your own behavior. If you get valid reported but its not enough for a punishment if will slown your climb.

It took me exactly two weeks to get my honor unlocked. Coincidentally my girlfriend got an honor checkpoint the same exact time my honor unlocked... people and riot have said it has to do with games played but I feel it's time based as well, similar to the checkpoints.

Just play games without getting validly reported and within a couple weeks you should see an unlock. As long as you stay neutral or positive you can make it as high as honor 4 by the end of the season so dont sweat it. You can make it. Just dont chat anymore unless you absolutely need to and make sure it isnt flame.

That's interesting. From what I keep reading everyone seems to report really ranged time differences for the same punishment level. Like for example, you say it took you two weeks to just UNLOCK your honor, not even get a checkpoint in it. I assume you had a 10 game chat restriction, for those i've seen anywhere from one day to your two weeks.

Yeah I've seen people say different stuff too.

Got honor locked March 4th. Played out my 10 games March 5th and just got unlocked this past Saturday. Played around 70 to 90 games.

During this time I rarely used chat and when I did I showed positive behavior. I was actually so worried about it I had to contact support to see what was going on. They said my chat was "really clean" and just to play more games. All of a sudden my honor is unlocked the same exact time my gf got a checkpoint towards level 3.

So I think theres a lot of factors to go into it. They mentioned something about my situation being the norm for "this season" so maybe its changed since last season.

unlocking honor takes me about a week usually. right now im also climbing from h1 back to h2 i got the first checkpoint in less than 1 week, now its been almost 2 weeks without any progress :/
