so the gambler and his wife in river kings lore...

is it confirmed to be TF? and his wife must be eve before the shadow isles turned her into what she is now? if this is the case them i must commend riot for finally giving us a LITTLE hint towards eves backstory.

if not then holy shit what a missed opportunity..... main thing that makes lore so good in this game is when a new champ like the river king connects other champions together like that.

if those two characters were just random people then why should we even care? if its TF + eve then it gives so much value to there lore that might not have been entirely explained in there main lore.

Dammit that guy started this trend. It's not eve or TF.

Lets look at it another way, if it is TF then it makes him look like a half wit who signs an agreement without even knowing what he will lose, and what con man/gambler would ever do that?

In short if that is TF they are destroying him worse then when they made Viktor look like a 2 bit villain.

The women was eaten up so fast, she barely got to scream, and she got chewed up too.

I don't think that's Evelynn.

in his original lore tho he did exactly that... he had no idea what the consequences would be or what he would lose, if anything at all.

Twisted Fate was told that the wager for such participation might be steep. He might change forever, or nothing might happen, or he might die horribly.

you cant tell me that TF knew exactly what he would lose in his original lore. also, the guy in the vid didntn really gamble. he made a BARGAIN with someone. he agreed to help the river king get into, what he thought, were fine resteraunts/dinners. but the riverking wasnt straight with what he actually wanted to eat.

so again, the guy was told exactly the price. what tf fans seem so angry about is that he actually got conned in his youth rather than the other way around...

If the gambler was Tf,then there is no way that the women was eve from before the Shadow isles, because that would mean that TF is older than the shadow isles, which wouldn't make sense considering the SI are pretty ancient and TF got his magical powers only a few years ago,he was a regular human before that.

So yeah it could be either TF or the bride could be from the shadow isles, but not both. Though that brings me to another theory: What if the wife was the daughter of the ruined king and her demise is what drove him over the edge?:p

Also the lore piece is meant to mainly establish the river king, not the other champions.

I like the explanation somebody else thought up: It IS Eve, before the fall of the Shadow Isles, but the gambler is NOT TF. Eve was in a relationship with TF partly because she wanted to feel like she had her old life back, just a little.
