These new ranked borders look absolutely disgusting. I mean just look at them.

They're horrible. The only ones that look decent to me are the master and challenger ones. All the others are just....ew.

They look like just straight up recolors with some minor flair differences. The ones this year made me want to get a higher rank, they looked great and I thought I could be proud of having a border. These seem uninspiring and dull, they're not to show off, they're just as good as if we had a text at the bottom saying "Plat V".

I don't really like the idea of markers depending on which division you ended up in either, especially not like this since the higher your rank, the less dots you have, making it seem worse. Kinda counterintuitive.

I know Riot usually likes constructive feedback, and I wish I had some to give myself. But I really can't think of anything I remotely like about these borders.

I gagged when I first saw these borders. I pray to the Rito gods that these aren't the final design because that Diamond border I worked so freaking hard to get to looks absolutely disgusting. Don't even get me started with the borders below that because I can't stand to even look at them. Also having the division engraved on it is wrong on so many levels, it serves only for other players to judge you.

If they saw you have, for example, a Diamond border and in just that one particular game you did horrible then no one would bat an eye. But if they saw you have a Diamond border with the Diamond 5 division engraved on it then everyone would call you an elo-boosted bottom feeder scrub.

This is probably the 100th post I have seen on this topic. You guys are really hating on this proposed change. What ideas do you have to improve them so they aren't so plain?

I'm almost certain the new borders would look great compared to the current if it wasn't for the anal beads adorning the sides lol

The Division thing is really bad and really will only really have a negative connotation. Wow only Diamond V scrub how is Ebay? Also they just look worse....I don't see a reason to make them more subtle colors and remove the curved edges and such. Also I really did not know Platinum was now a green/emerald color while Diamond's.....diamonds got significantly smaller it seems. Gold also gives more off more of a bronze color to me outside of the bright yellow division markings which I think is a huge no-no (especially towards the bottom). I am honestly not proud of these borders at all and how little effort seems to have went into them.

The "division markers" are placed on both sides of the border. The design indicates there are a total of 10 divisions in one tier. Horrible design.

Use the current borders we have now! If Riot really wants the division markers implemented, just place roman numerals on the bottom or top right corner.

(I'm highly against division markers, but my suggestion is much better than dots on both sides.) After seeing those dots... I don't even.

Gonna have nightmares of dots now...

One thing I hate about this is the difference between Platinum Border.

This border signifies as if its Diamond strength hasn't bloomed yet(as seen from the corners in the Diamond border & similar colours between the PLat & Dia borders), but will do soon by going through multiple hardships & teamwork.

...the fuck is this? It's nothing but an ironed border splatted with Green. Where's the meaning in that? I preferred staying in the new shiny Gold border rather than advancing to this bs.

Don't like division markers. They don't look nice, cool nor pretty. I understand that there is a long way from 5 to 1 but isn't it enough that we have players divided in 7 divisions (bronze to challenger)? Markers will also make people in lower divisions feel less satisfied and less happy about their year long rank achievement. Diamond border should look much better. Is it not a big deal to get to diamond? Platinum too.

I see what you mean and i thought the exact same thing, now i also know that these are still under development so they may change, widen, or add afew things to them, but as of right now they are Plain, counterintuitive as you said, and not worth. They look more like Borders that you would get fr being Friendly or Helpful. but would not look forward to having that Gold border this season,.

I honestly think that the new borders are MUCH better than the old ones. They're simply more eye catching and detailed(well maybe that's a stretch) than the older, simple ones.

The only thing that I really do not like are the division markers on the side. They really disrupt the visual flow of the borders for me. I do not mind the new version as a whole, but really dislike the dot covering the sides.

If they have to change our current ones, just make Silver not look like Plat and make Plat not look like Diamond at a quick glance. Every time I see a Plat player from last season I just assume they were Silver because the borders don't have huge distinctive details. Gold is easily spotted out with being a really bright color, and master/challenger have large unique marks on theirs.

The plat one looks bad.

That aside, I don't like the gems on the left and right sides -but the corners are fine.

The only border who didn't need a change was the diamond one. I think all the others look much better. It will be the same with the new UI that everyone hated. you will have to get used to them Amumu
