Why in Fuck's name did they redo her models when all they had to do was touch up the textures a little? No matter what they replace it with, you know it's going to be worse than the originals based on the first results looking like an actual joke a trolling intern made. Don't believe me? Look at any side by side comparison picture. There's plenty of threads.
That and I know the splash won't turn out well, it can't because they won't scrap it, they're just going to do minor adjustments to it. I'd bet it was the same artist or group that did the abomination of a Katarina splash. She still looks like a deranged crack whore in it.
And none of what I just wrote is hyperbole.
Good, the current replacements are abominations, ESPECIALLY schoolteacher and royal guard.
^ I like the concept they were going for. The execution was terrible however. Her face is way too pouty and overstylized, both in game and in splash. I hope they didn't put too much work in the visuals because they might need to start from square one.
They still have have that ugly ass splash art to work on.
They said the update was looking good before we found out about it too. They can surprise me, but I think right now, it's most important that we let them know in no unclear terms EVERYTHING wrong with the update because if they're going to let something this bad go through in the first place, they must lack the ability for themselves.
She doesn't even need a visual update. Her new gameplay and kit is awesome, I welcome it, but she's one of the few who I never thought would get a new visual along with it.
