Also I recall a rioter saying that summoners are canon just not how they were before. Idk. But I guess its a loooong waiting game before we find out anything on that front. (along with her new/updated lore ;-;)

MavenSong2 votesIm guessing most of it will still be the same seeing as how Lestara made an appearance in Quinn's bio. Itd be stupid if they referenced an important characer from someone else's lore and removed them from the original. While Sona lacks personality I doubt they will go the Richy rich celebrity for her, id like to think her Ionian orphan roots would keep her grounded.
One thing im dying to know is why Ryze is related to Sona (and others)

for ryze i have no doubt its something about her instrument and her magical ties.for xin zhao i think its because of their lonian roots.he might turn out to be her father? or even become her father ?(hue hue...lestera!) and taric i think will be removed, cause after the taric story updates she was no longer in his friend list! only connection they have is one of taric's skin splash arts the one you can see Dj sona in the background in that club.

Meep Man1 votesI am aware of that, but since Riot updated Lux recently and Maokai coming up, I wish they woild focus on champions who's VOs have more than just an issue of limited lines and/or unthematic lines.

Meep Man2 votesBecause their VO could be filled with much more fitting and overall better voice lines than interacting with an entity that no longer exists in the lore. Plus, VOs are our most direct way of knowing how a champion personally feels in the lore.

Dzoni871 votesI dont know, why it is wrong for a champion to talk to a player directly. This have been standard in RTS games for decades, all the way back since the first Dune and Command and Conquer games. It all started, by putting the player in a role of a general\commander\whatever. It was adding to the immersion factor, having all those little people, answering to your commands and moving around the map, attacking, etc ("Da, comrade" "Kirov reporting" :D ).
I didnt realize this fact untill up recently, but hey, if there are not the summoners anymore, what are the player's role then (if there isnt any, maybe they should put him in one, other than being a summoner)? I mean, ok, remove speeches directly referring to summoner, but change it up a bit, to accommodate lore more. But i think that just putting some random jibba-jabbing about killing\annihilating\whatever enemies, or rival dialogues would be generic and boring. There HAS to be some talking to a player directly.
