Crazy Theory - Common Universe Theory - Runeterra and Azeroth

If I didn't know all the real world drama that has existed between Blizzard and Riot and the competition between them. I would believe that Runeterra and Azeroth are in the same universe together. There are several observations about this theory. This is quite a fun theory and I know that its probably not true but there are still a lot of parallels we can draw.

  • The "Void" exists in both universes and creatures of the Void in both universes also have tentacles and a very "Lovecraft" feel to them. (I.E. Old Gods and Velkoz or the ancient god that Illaoi serves)

  • The "Great Dark Beyond" in Warcraft's mythology contains (as quoted directly from Wrathion in Mists of Pandaria) "A million, million worlds glittering" - So it would make sense that Runeterra is another planet of the Great Dark Beyond.

  • The Frozen Watchers and the Old Gods serve a very similar role in both storylines. They are both responsible for the corruption of many different characters (I.E. Lissandra ) and the statues in the Howling Abyss bear a resemblance to Velkoz who is a creature of the void itself. Both the Watchers and the Old Gods are silent corruptors, rather then taking direct action themselves and capable of bestowing great power on their followers - Malzahar.

  • It is rumored that the Watchers are imprisoned within the Howling Abyss, in the same way that Gnar was frozen in a block of ice. The shopkeeper in Howling Abyss confirms that they believed they killed the watchers however Lissandra hints that the Frozen Watchers are still alive and are still manipulating events. The shopkeeper also bears a striking resemblance to a Vrykul or "Proto-human" from Warcraft Lord and to a lesser extent, a Titan, suggesting that these two universes may be connected in some way. In Warcraft, the Titans were forced to keep the Old Gods alive due to their corruption running too deep inside the planet of Azeroth and chose to imprison them, rather then outright destroy them.

  • Zilean shares the same role as Algalon the Observer and the Constellar. A being of immense power that watches over Runeterra and ensures that the void does not corrupt too far into the world.

The statues on the howling abyss simply depict the watchers, who look like this http://abload.de/img/wp_20151231_001lupji.jpg

There is no connection to vel'koz.(and only the one at the purple spawn even resembles vel'koz,I mean the others have hands, not tentacles)
