PSA: You can disable the Dark Star Thresh announcer.
While you're in a game, open the options and look at the bottom of the "Sounds" tab. There should be a toggle for it.

Bumping this because I'm still seeing people acting like Riot got rid of the classic announcer forever.
You have to actually be in a match-made game on SR for the option to appear, though. It won't show up in the practice tool since that doesn't have the custom announcer.
Obviously it can't be disabled in Singularity since Thresh is the only announcer for it.
