After reading Ahri's lore, she looks like she could use friend and Wukong would be perfect cheer her up. Wukong and Ahri used to be friends in the old lore. Will it happen again? Wukong with his cheerful personality could bring a smile to Ahri's sad life.
If they still are listed as related champs then it's likely they are still friends. It would have been pointless to update both their lores and not update their related champs section as well. We still don't have any explanation as to why they are friends, but it does look like they are.

I agree with you man, if ahri ever met Wukong they would be friends. He would cheer her up and make her happy. Everyone need a campion right?
There will most likely be a story made what connects the two champions in some fashion...example for Shurima being Bloodline.
