A rival creator for Viktor? PLEASE? Maybe not a champion, but an important character for some upcoming lore? It's ok, Riot, it's alright to have people who just exist in the lore like Professor Stanwick. I'm joking, don't hate me.

But think about it... a rival for Viktor who's also into science. Maybe on the same path as Viktor, but is going about it a different way? Yeah, yeah, I know. Jayce exists, but I'm talking about Viktor's Glorious Evolution. Or maybe it's just a science guy who exists within the confines of the Mecha skin line.

OR MAYBE THEY JUST NEEDED TO FILL THAT CORNER WITH SOMETHING OTHER THAN RUBBLE. WHO KNOWS.

(C'mon, he looks pretty funky for being just some guy...)

I'd say a rival for Viktor would be Stanwick Piddly,considering that piddly is the reason for viktors backstory.

Thinking about it,it would be actually in-character for Piddly to hack Mecha-sion in an attempt to steal the invention of someone else.

The background may tell us more than the characters. Notice that wall is in a very similar position to the scaffolding platform the Yordles were on during Mecha Sion's construction. It could be we're transitioning from late construction to post-Yordle management.
