How...big can humans get on Runeterra?

Looking over some of the art in LoR, Kato really caught my eye, simply because he's made out to be so large. I mean, he's holding Shiraza on his shoulder like a child, and unless Shiraza is somehow a midget (which I feel is unlikely), that essentially makes him a giant!

Then there's Captain Farron. He is just towering over people in his splash art. Granted, he's from Zaun and so there's probably some explanation of say experiments and whatnot. But let's not forget Sion which based on his reveal in the Awaken cinematic also makes him monstrously large, even before he was resurrected, and as far as I recall he wasn't from Zaun.

Urgot was big in life, and got bigger from augmentation, but Sion, Kato and Farron are...well...

According to Scathlocke (Laurie on Twitter) Sion was potentially not human, and instead part of a larger humanoid race: https://twitter.com/LaurieGoulding/status/1217108237620629505

Now of course BIG DISCLAIMER: twitter lore is like red post lore or LoR lore, potentially canon but unless shit's on Universe, it's not canon, so this might just be the narrative guys pondering details and this might not actually be the case, but since this did crop up in discussion I figured it was worth noting.

So, potentially, Sion, and by extension Kato and Farron due to their similar sizes, are part of an as of yet unnamed non-human people.

I guess the first question is this: was Sion a "pure" human? He's clearly at least double Irelia's height in the Awaken cinematic, and Irelia herself looks like she's above average height. I can't really see a human getting that big. But what if Sion is only part human? We know now that different races, at least some of them, can inter-breed, since Sett is half-human and half-vastaya. Maybe Sion was, like, half-giant or something.

Or, maybe a bit of magic is at work. Lulu's ultimate let's her make people giant. What if, in some places, magical energies can cause people to grow/change in ways that would normally be unnatural?

Also, isn't there something in the lore about Mordekaiser having been a fucking mountainous person in his actual life? I could be wrong, but I think he was also gigantic, like Sion.

Gragas, Braum, and Illaoi are also quite huge, though in Gragas's case, I don't think his very outdated in-game model does his size justice. He looks much bigger in comparison to the objects around him in his splash art.

Man, Riot is approaching One Piece territory with how big humans can get. Some of those big characters in One Piece are straight up human, yet can still grow taller than the average human being.

(Insert obvious sexual innuendos connected to the title)

Nope, no idea

special genetics selection and magic amplification thats the best reason ( i can think of) why some people are superior physically wise. while others is normal sized.

Honestly, by looking at the amount of three metre tall people, several champions capable of jumping absurd distances, and things like Yasuos ult, Vis ult, and Setts ult, I always considered that Runaterra is somehow smaller tan Earth and therefore has sligthly lower gravity, allowing this stuff.

They could be "half-giants" just a gene that got into the human genome by way of inter-breeding between people and minotaurs. Hey the Vastaya exist by thge same means so why not? Helps that all the people you mentioned are Noxians (Kato, Sion, Urgot and Farron) and the Minotaurs live right next door which is compelling evidence.

Also we do have these celestial giants that may have their hand in it but that's more far-fetched
