In terms of lore and gameplay fantasy, why does Tryndramere even exist?

I mean, we have already Olaf, the badass northland-berserker who is so pissed he defies death and crushes everything in super-reckless combat.

Also, that guy is at least unique in the way of "GLORIOUS DEATH! HERE I COME!".

Meanwhile Tryndramere is like the 100 times overdone "last survivor" of a disaster. Yawn. Even in gameplay Tryndramere feels like a Olaf-light. Both go into fight super reckless, but at least Olaf has the axe swings and super-damage hits. not exactly the best design, but still better than Tryndra's right-click rampage.

You really need to flesh out Tryndramere as a character more, right now he's a walking stereotype - and one that already exists in a better version too.

And give him a VGU while you're at it. Would be a good excuse to come back to the Freljord event btw... that one was never really concluded btw...

I think thematically Tryndamere is supposed to be THE rage champ of them all.

Shyvana might be angry,Renekton might be mad,Olaf might be pissed he doesn't die,but Tryndamere literally draws power from his rage

And well Olaf is a viking, while Tryndamere is a barbarian hero, these archetypes might be similar, but still different in a way.

why do people even give a crap about lore in this game? everything i read about concerning lore in this game; is written by some bonehead with narrative elements comparable to a Stephanie Meyer novel even the fan fic lore. It makes me want to maim myself.

Andrzej Sapkowski would get an aneurysm trying to make sense of this games lore.

My advice is to leave it all goofy and disoriented and focus on champion balance and general gameplay elements

Well originally Tryndamere also had the leader of his tribe forging a political marriage with Ashe thing going for him. Making him more of a leader who tempered his aggression with charisma.

Now? I don't know. Don't see much a point for Ashe to marry some random rageaholic with no political incentives or anything.

Anyway, as to his current lore. Olaf has been made kind of a joke character wandering around searching for his death and being unable to find it. While Tryn still has a purpose, revenge against those who destroyed his clan.

Personally I thought the glorious death shtick was kind of dumb. With all the amazing and horrifying things the Vikings accomplished with the complexity of their society and the desire to explore and push beyond the boundaries of anyone in Europe at the time. And the Viking character went with the old locked out of Valhalla thing. Eh, oh well.
