Fear the Void - the Next Champion?

With the release of Taric's new Targon-based lore, I think there's enough proof that the next (or next-ish) champion will be a Void creature. But this time, it's not going to be a glorified caterpillar or praying mantis. This one is going to be a doozy.

This is obviously just a theory, but let me explain. There's some seriously convincing evidence here, folks. Strap in.

In the new lore surrounding the Mount Targon champions, there are several references to the Void. The first being Diana, who had to fight off a large group of Void-like creatures. Then AurelionSol was forced by the Pantheon to fight back against a massive Void invasion, and in particular, when he completely obliteratomizes the Void gate, he mentions that "Whatever exists on the other side is laughing." A dragon made of stars just fudenwhackered their Void gate, and some Void thing is laughing, as if the thing that creates GALAXIES is nothing but a minor disturbance. That's how threatening this big Void beast is supposed to be. That's awesome.

But Taric's reintroduction helps solidify this theory. From his new lore, Taric is told by the Aspect of Protection:

"He would stand as the Shield of Valoran, but crashing against him would be a wave of howling madness, an ocean of gnashing teeth intent on consuming all, a squalid horror born of the Void."

That last bit is important. At first I thought this was just a generic "Bad things are going to fight you! Which bad things? Let's see what we have in our generic bad guy box! No, not Noxus... Zaun is a bit of a grey area right now, uh... the Frostguard? Nah, that doesn't make sense. I Know! The Void! They hate everyone! Ha ha! Good writing, Jacob! You're gonna be chief concept creator one day!"

Jokes aside, "a squalid (Meaning disgusting) horror born of the Void" makes me think that this "wave of howling madness" and "ocean of gnashing teeth" may just be a single BAMF repping the Void. Imagine that, a monstrous looking thing with multiple heads and mouths! That's amazing, but pretty unlikely.

...Right?

In fact, one of the biggest points of proof comes from Taric's new voiceover. One of his lines reads:

"You seem to have too many heads. Let's see if I can help you with that."

The only champion that fits the whole "Multiple heads" thing would be Kindred. Somehow I don't think he's talking about them. The only other character that fits this would be the Big B-man himself, Baron Nashor. But all of the previously mentioned lore indicates that this creature hasn't shown up yet. Baron's an old dog, and he hasn't really been associated with working with the Void, despite being from there. This thing seems like a higher-up, something like Chogath.

You heard it here, folks. The next champ will most likely be a mean mammajamma from the Void. But this time, it'll be a Lovecraftian horror that could give Cthulhu a run for his money.

KogMaw I think Daddy's coming home soon.

But what do you think?

Before the release of Aurelion Sol I always thought that kog'maws dad would be too big to be a champion. But given the fact that Aurelion is actually the size of a mountain(ok we already had Malphite, but even he seems smaller than aurelion)),I guess that it could be possible for him to become a champ.

Long ago, in ancient times, we got told info regarding Big Daddy.

Big Daddy is bigger than Summoner's Rift, if they do something with a Void boss it'll likely not be a Champion (Much like Vilemaw).

I talked about this too, Nice to know I'm not alone finding that as ''too much coincidences to not be true''.

Honestly, I expected the Taric new VO you noticed as a tease of the Hydra champion they canceled coming back as a Void Creature.

INB4 VOID UPDATE EVENT!!!!1!111

No, really, it would be really interesting if they did a lore update + a Void vs Targon ''event'' (i'd be just as happy with new stories).

But yeah, i also agree with you, it suggest a new void champion, but i feel like the void would need a few tweaks to become a quality lovecraftian horror, hence why i think that either there is a void lore update incoming OR the possible new void champion will bring us more information about the void.
