Never, he's an alcoholic. Alcoholics have bellies.

While Graves's cigar was never part of his kit or how he plays, Gragas's alcohol is his entire kit. For him to drop his pounds, he would need to drop his drinking habits, which would require a full rework of him.

Also, confirmed by I think it was Meddler, Graves never kicked the tobacco habit, he vapes now instead.
