Piltover Champion Tales anticipation thread

Actually I had expected them to relese the stories one after another over the weekend, so we get a bit every day before the PBE patch hits and whatever gets teased in the second half of the event gets revealed. (Ya know, like skins, champion changes and stuff). But instead they seem to be going for the more impractical but more PR-effective "THROW IT ALL AT ONCE!" effect, which will hopefully happen in the next 24 hours.

Not exactly sure what to expect from the stories tho. With Vi we either get her being a badass cop and arguing with Cait, or something from her past on the streets. Caits story will be about her solving some sort of crime, probably with Malcom Graves and Tobias Fate involved. Ezreal... now this is a bit trickyer. We just got a story of him being a badass explorer, so now we are probably getting a story how it's for him to be back home. Jayce will probably get a story of simple heroism...

The one I'm most curious about is Orianna. Her lore was extremly tied to the old lore, so we got absolutely no clue what to expect...

Well, since they don't release anything on weekend, so the earliest it could go out would be in ~10 hours.

Maybe they will go for a "one per day" this week. Meddler said that we won't get any teasing of WW before 2017. This means nothing on him in 2 weeks.

But i would expect one of the nodes to be his rework ( the last ? ), so they can give us some content during this two weeks.

On the story :

  • Vi : Yeah, one from her past maybe tied to relation with Jinx, or present to better understand her now.
  • Caitlyn : The fact that Caitlyn has a story kinda nudge towards seeing them not together. Could be C, could be her relation with the Families, could be her average day.
  • Orianna : Dunno. Could be a retcon, could be a deeper connection with her actual lore.
  • Ezreal : Well. I expect him to introduce us to the museum/scholars of Piltover.
  • Jayce : Hope they tone down a bit the hero side. Might be about Victor too.

Overall we don't know if this will be a fullblown event,like bilgewater or simply a lore update like Targon or Shurima(this year).

EDIT: Since Meddler said that WWs teaser won't come out this year I guess that would mean that WW will likely be in 7.2.,meaning that the patch after Camille won't include him. Which begs the question: What will be in the next patch then?Maybe just some skins that fit the thematic?

Also maybe they do it so,that they'll release the piltover stories this week and then start releasing Zaun storys until next year(with Warwicks story coming last when he'll be revealed)

Caitlyn will likely have a story revolving around a crime as you said although I have this lingering feeling that we might get a "flashback" story about when she first got her sniper rifle and such. Vi will very likely get a story revolving around Camille since Camille has a line about why Vi is an orphan. Ezreal is a real wildcard here, but less so than Ori. There is a decent chance it will have to do with obtaining his gauntlet since we don't have a ton of details about it. Jayce will get some exploration on how he feels about the Glorious Evolved most likely. Perhaps he fights some of them. Ori is a wildcard. I have this feeling in the back of my mind she will have to do with the Glorious Evolved, but at the same time I can see her being something different entirely.

I kinda want to see more than VI's bravado. Don't get me wrong, I like her bravado but it's really all I know about her at first glance. I'm wondering if there's more to the hextech pugilist.

Like whatever she does in her free time or how she interacts with the Piltover denizens despite being originally from Zaun.

Orianna is said to have been used as a weapon (at least thats why Camilles quotes say).

in the top left corner you can see Piltovers icon, and in the top right you can see Zauns Icon. They have some thing you can click on to get lower down to the different stroys. First it is "Piltover" then "City of progress" then "Piltover champion tales" then there are 4 locked. One will be for Zaun, the next undercityskfåsfk something like that and one will be Zaun champion tales. The forth though will probably be some kind of event with many champions.
