Thoughts on potential changes to Morgana.
My thoughts on Morgana.
She is supposed to be the other side of the coin to Kayle, but with this new revamped kit, Kayle feels like the whole golden dollar coin while Morgana dropped to a 50 cent piece. Still worth something but doesn't follow up with her Lore in my opinion.
Her Kit is well designed but i feel she lacks flare. (Even with the cool new VFX) So, I decided staying with her original kit but modifying how they interact with others was the direction I wanted to use. So, p = heal, q = lock down skill shot, w = zoning/damage pool, e = shields and cc immunity, and r = team fight cc is still the core of her kit. This isnt something I'm saying riot should use. It's just my thoughts on what could be done in hopes to spur the imagination.
• Passive: Lingering Torment
Passive 1: Morgana's abilities marks enemy units with Lingering Torment for 5 seconds, granting sight of the unit for the first 2 seconds. Passive 2: Damaging an enemy unit affected by Lingering Torment consumes the mark, healing Morgana for 10-44 (based on level) (+ 5% AP). If the mark is consumed on a champion or large/epic monster the heal is tripled to 30-132 (based on level) (+ 15% AP) and shreds their mr by 10% for 2 seconds. Individual champions cannot be marked by Lingering Torment for a short duration (6s) after Lingering Torment has been consumed by an ability on that champion.
• Q: Dark Binding (Cost: 55/60/65/70/75) (CD: 12s)
Active: Morgana throws a sphere of dark fire in a line exploding upon hitting an enemy unit dealing 80/130/180/230/280 (+ 60% AP) magic damage in an area and dark chains sprout from the fire beneath their feet rooting all enemies hit. The unit that was struck by the sphere of dark fire is rooted for 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5s and subsequent units hit by the explosion are rooted for half of that duration.
• W: Tormented Soil (Cost: 55/70/85/100/115) (CD: 10s)
Active: Morgana curses a target area. After a delay (.5s), the curse implodes dealing 60/110/160/210/260 (+ 40% AP) magic damage to everything in the area. After the implosion, the ground remains cursed for 2 seconds, dealing 8/16/24/32/40 (+ 10% AP) true damage every .5s standing in the area.
Only the implosion will apply and consume a mark of Lingering Torment.
• E: Black Right (Cost: 80 + all current charges of Black Fire) (CD: 26/23/20/17/14)
Passive: Black Right gains charges of Black Fire as Morgana consumes marks of Lingering Torment up to 10 charges. Active: Morgana unleashes a wave of dark fire from her core, granting a 40/60/80/100/120 (+ 20% AP) magic damage shield for 2 seconds to herself and all nearby allies. The shield is increased by 4/8/12/16/20 (+5% AP) per charge of Black Fire used to cast the spell. If 10/8/6 (based on ult level) charges of Black Fire are used to cast Black Right, allies shielded are also granted CC immunity as long as the shield holds.
• R: Soul Shackles (Cost: 130) (CD: 100/90/80)
Active: Morgana briefly roots herself to conjure a large sphere of dark celestial fire and cast it at a target location. (think level 1 ryze ult for distance and ziggs ult for size of targeted area) Upon the sphere reaching its location it compacts into a singularity of dark fire while tethering chains to enemies within its radius dealing 150/200/250 (+ 70% AP) magic damage and slowing all enemies inside the area by 25%. After 2 seconds, the chains rip away from the enemies that did not leave the tether range pulling the champions slightly towards the center stunning them for 1 second and dealing the same damage again as the singularity explodes.
Both hits from Soul Shackles will apply or consume a mark of Lingering Torment.
