A few ideas I've had for new hextech items that use currently unused/removed items as influence.

Component 1: Hextech Generator Recipe: Ruby Crystal + Cloth Armor Price: 400g + 300g + 350g (combine cost) = 1050g Stats: +200 Health, + 15 Armor

Unique Passive: Upon being damaged by enemy champions, gain a 50-125 health adaptive shield based on level for 5 seconds. (40 second CD shared with other hextech items)

Edit: Removed - No longer gain a shield when damaged by turrets.

Component 2: Hextech Steam Blade Recipe: Longsword + Dagger Price: 350g + 300g + 400g (combine cost) = 1050g Stats: +15 Attack Damage, +15% Attack Speed

Unique Passive: Upon landing a Basic Attack on an enemy champion, gain 5-15% lifesteal based on level for 5 seconds. (40 second CD shared with other hextech items)

Core Item 1: Hextech Ohmwrecker Recipe: Hextech Generator + Raptor Cloak + Ruby Crystal Price: 1050g + 900g + 400g + 450g (combine cost) = 2800g Stats: +450 Health, +45 Armor, +150% base health regen

Unique Passive: Point runner: Builds up to 20% Movement Speed over 2 seconds while near turrets (includes fallen turrets), Ohmwrecker grenades, and Void Gates

Unique Active: Throw a ground target timed grenade that upon landing disables nearby enemy turrets for 4 seconds. After the 4 seconds have ended the grenade explodes dealing 50-150 (+15% of total health) physical damage based on level to surrounding enemy champions and minions still in the area and deals double that damage to structures. If no turret is disabled upon initial use, the grenade fuse timer is dropped to 2.5 seconds. (40 second CD shared with other hextech items) (The size of the disable and explosion radius would be around amumu ult radius for comparison.)

After being disabled, turrets are unable to be disabled again for a duration. (~240 seconds or 4 minutes)


Core Item 2: Hextech BOC-254 Recipe: Hextech Generator + Crystalline Bracer Price: 1050g + 650g + 500g (combine cost) = 2200g Stats: +400 Health, +15 Armor, +100% base health regen

Unique Active: Bind to a target minion and promote the minion. (40 second CD shared with other hextech items)

Unique Passive: While near the promoted minion, you gain kill gold from minions the promoted minion defeats, the promoted minion shares your base health regen + 100%, and the minion is immune to CC. (no syndra, no) If you move too far from the promoted minion, the minion loses the promotion and will no longer be bound.

Promotion increases Health, Attack speed, damage, and grants 10-20% damage reduction based on champion level of promoter.


Core Item 3: Hextech Scalpel Recipe: Hextech Steam Blade + Executioners Calling + Pickaxe Price: 1050g + 800g + 875g + 475g (combine cost) = 3200g Stats: +65 Attack Damage, +20% Attack Speed, 10% Life Steal

Unique Passive: Physical Damage applies grievous wounds on enemy champions for 3 seconds.

Unique Active: Deals 25-90 (+70% of total AD) physical damage (based on level) to targeted enemy champion, and inflicts grievous wounds for 4 seconds and healing you for 15% of the damage dealt. (40 second CD shared with other hextech items)


Core Item 4: Hextech Pulsar Recipe: Hextech Steam Blade + Jaurim's Fist + Ruby Crystal Price: 1050g + 1200g + 400g + 350g (combine cost) = 3000g Stats: +500 Health, +30 Attack Damage, +15% Attack Speed

Unique Active: Deals 50-100 (+10% total health) physical damage based on level in an aoe originating from your champion, and healing you for 1.5% of your total health per champion hit. (40 Second CD shared with other hextech items)


Core Item 5: Hextech Lantern Recipe: Hextech Generator + Bami's Cinder + Null Magic Mantle Price: 1050g + 900g + 450g + 500g (combine cost) = 2900g Stats: +450 Health, +25 Armor, +25 MR

Unique Active: You send out a wave of fire burning all enemies hit in a radius around your champion dealing 50-80 (+2.5% total health) magic damage each second for 4 seconds. Burning enemies lose 15% Armor and MR while burning. (40 Second CD shared with other hextech items)


Core Item 6: Hextech Breathstealer Recipe: Hextech Steam Blade + Aegis of the Legion + Longsword Price: 1050g + 1100g + 400g + 350g (combine cost) = 2900g Stats: +40 Attack Damage, +15% Attack Speed, +30 Armor, +30 MR

Unique Active: Deals 20-70 (+30% bonus Armor, +30% bonus MR) magic damage to target enemy champion and marks the champion. The marked champion deals 20% less damage to you for 4 seconds. (40 Second CD shared with other hextech items)

Core Item 7: Hextech Emanator
Recipe: Hextech Generator + Seekers Armguard + Glacial Shroud Price: 1050g + 1100g + 900g + 250g (combine cost) = 3300g Stats: +250 Health, +250 Mana, +80 Armor, +30 AP, +10% CDR

Unique Active: You emanate bursts of block-able shards of ice in a circle AOE for 3 seconds dealing 40-90 (+5% of your total health) magic damage based on level each second, and slows enemies hit by 30% for 1 second. The shards of ice stop at first champion hit. Champions are able to be hit by multiple shards but will take 50% reduced damaged for each shard after the first. (40 Second CD shared with other hextech items)


Core Item 8: Hextech Guillotine Recipe: Hextech Generator + Haunting Guise + Null Magic Mantle Price: 1050g + 1500g + 450g + 300g (combine cost) = 3300g Stats: +400 Health, +20 armor, +25 MR, +45 AP

Unique Passive: Madness: Deal 2% more damage for each second in combat with champions. (10% maximum)

Unique Active: Deals 10% of target enemy champions max health as magic damage and marks the champion. Increase the maximum of the Madness passive by 10% when dealing damage to this champion. (40 Second CD shared with other hextech items)

The current amount of the Madness passive charged is not changed. It only increases the maximum.


Core Item 9: Hextech Pile Recipe: Hextech Generator + Chain Vest + Negatron Cloak Price: 1050g + 800g + 720g + 430g (combine cost) = 3000g Stats: +350 Health, +55 Armor, +40 MR

Unique Active: Grants a target ally a shield for 2 seconds blocking 50-100 (15% of your total health) damage based on the higher level between you and the targeted ally. Upon the shield expiring, slow nearby enemy champions by 40% for 2 seconds. Upon the shield breaking, slow nearby enemy champions by 20% for 1 second.

well,those items are pretty good,nothing to say about them if not some actives needs some tweaks in their numbers,but sometimes it'd be nice to see something for AP bruisers or assassins,the AD equivalent already have enough items (or at least the have items for their class)

While some of these sound fun and creative, I don't think new gimmicks are what the game needs right now.

We already have trouble balancing what we already have on our hands.
