Name: Oberon

Playstyle: late game hybrid damage diver armed with powerful AoE and single target damage along with strong, but short lived, windows of durability and mobility.

Appearance: Solid plate armour worn over his forearms, upper chest, knees and head. Wears furs over his shoulders, shins with a long cloak run down to his knees. All other areas are coved by thick clothing.

Helmet completely covers his head and has a pair of horns coming out his temples that curve forwards and up. On top is an arrangement of nine spikes that form a crude crown on top of the helmet.

All metal is predominantly gunmetal grey, all cloth is dyed a deep shade of purple and all furs are white. Armour and furs also have a few sporadic streaks of purple.

Wields two swords, the sword in his right hand is called dawn and is a wide straight sword lacking any cross guard with the blade glowing with a bright orange hue and seeming being wreathed in fire. The second sword in his left hand, called dusk, is more akin to a sabre, being thinner and more curved than the other, and being a dark vibrant shade of blue, glowing more softly than the other. During his ultimate the swords fuse together, the resulting sword maintains width of the dawn and the cross guard of dusk while being much longer than either one and glowing a bright purple.

Passive: Axis Bonus damage: 5% max health (+10% AD) (+20% AP) Bonus attack speed: 20%-50%

Oberon wields two swords, dusk and dawn, that affects the damage type of his attacks. Dawn deals 100% physical damage and applies day to enemies while dusk will deal 75% magic damage and 25% physical damage while applying night to them, day and night last for 3 seconds each.

If Oberon strikes an enemy affected with day with dusk, or one affected with night with dawn, the effect will be consumed and target will be dealt bonus damage based on their maximum health and Oberon will gain bonus attack speed for 3 seconds.

(While Oberon is using a sword for auto attacks it is considered his in-hand sword, and when not using it, it is considered the off-hand sword, just some terminology I’ll be using throughout the concept)

(While Oberon is using a sword for auto attacks it is considered his in-hand sword, and when not using it, it is considered the off-hand sword, just some terminology I’ll be using throughout the concept) Q: solstice Cost:35 mana Range: 400 Damage per swing:20/40/60/80/100 (+100%AD) (+20% AP) Damage per smash:25/50/75/100/125 (+125%AD) (+25% AP) Cooldown:6/5.5/5/4.5/4 seconds

Oberon swings his sword in a 55 degree arc in front of him to deal damage to enemies hit. (Solstice reset’s Oberon’s auto attack timer) If he hits an enemy with solstice he will gain a stack of Light.

When he gains two stacks of light the next cast of solstice will be to flip up to 150 units forward to deliver a vertical smash, dealing 125% damage to all enemies in a line in front of him. After this smash, or after 10 seconds, Oberon will lose all Light stacks and solstice will return to its normal state.

The swing/flip speed of solstice is increased by 1% for every 1% bonus attack speed Oberon has, up to 50% at 50% bonus attack speed.

Axis: Solstice causes him to switch o his off-hand sword for solstice (If he is using dusk at the time he will swap to dawn for solstice, making it deal physical damage, and vice-versa) and following auto attacks. Additionally solstice will swing from right to left when made with dawn and left to right when made with dusk.

W: king’s guard Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 mana Shield value: 75/100/125/150/175 (+20% bonus AD)(+20%AP)(5%/6/7/8/9 max health) Cooldown:20/18/16/14/12 Oberon moulds his off-hand sword into a shield for 2.5 seconds. If Oberon is hit by a hard crowd control while the shield is active he will ignore it but lose his shield but regain the use of his off-hand sword. During the first 0.75 seconds of the shield’s duration Oberon takes 50% reduced damage and any hard crowd controls that hit him only remove 50% of the shield’s max capacity.

Axis: Oberon can only attack with his in-hand sword while king’s guard is active and cannot benefit from axis.

E: Falling comet Cost: 80/85/90/95/100 mana Range:300/450 Damage radius: 150/75 Damage per hit:75/100/125/150/175 (+25% AD)(+30% AP) Maximum Empowered plunge damage: 100/150/200/250/300 (+50% AD)(+60% AP) Empowered stun time: 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5 Cooldown:14/13/12/11/10

Passive: Triggering axis on a target will stun them for 1 second. This effect cannot occur more than once every 6 seconds.

Oberon will flip forwards a short distance while slashing all enemies around him as he flips. If he hits and enemy with the slash and is not being affected by any immobilising effects at the end of the flip, such as roots or stuns, he will leap into the air, travelling up to 150% further, and plunge his sword into the ground, dealing damage.

If falling comet is made during king’s guard then Oberon will use the shield to deal up to 100% bonus damage on the plunge, this effect is maximised when the shield is at 50% capacity and will completely consume the shield.

Axis: Oberon makes the slash with his in-hand sword and the plunge with his off-hand sword, using it for auto attacks afterward. Oberon will only switch after he completes the plunge.

R: Twilight Cost: 100 mana Range: 1000 Radius:100 Damage: 125/250/375 (+50% bonus AD) (+50% AP) Silence/blind duration: 1/1.5/2 Min Bonus armour/magic resist: 15/30/45 (+20% armour/magic resist) Max bonus armour/magic resist:30/60/90 (+40% armour/magic resist) Cooldown:120

Passive: Oberon will change his sword on every third basic attack (Changing swords with abilities will reset this counter). Additionally triggering axis will reduce the current cooldowns of all abilities by 10%.

Active: Oberon leaps high into the air for 0.5 seconds before crashing down on a target location to silence, blind and damage all enemies in an area and attacking with both swords for 8 seconds. While twilight is active all Oberon’s basic attacks benefit from axis’ bonus damage and cooldown reduction (also instantly triggering burning comet’s stun) and they deal a 50/50 split of physical and magic damage and he gains increased resistances based on how many enemy champions he hit with the initial smash, increasing by 50% for every champion hit and capping at 2.

Lore (Not so good at lore so please don’t focus on this) As most powerful of all the aspects Oberon is the undisputed ruler of mount Targon as the aspect of twilight, walking the line between the scorching might of the sun and the unparalleled grace of the moon. Like pantheon Oberon chooses to posses his avatars completely as none share his vision, and none deserve his power but him. His current avatar was born far from Targon’s slopes, a barbarian of great strength hailing from a frozen land far to the north that climbed to the summit in a selfish pursuit of power. What he found was Oberon, waiting for a host with the proper strength and ambition to carry out his plans, and he was soon overcome by the twilight aspect to be made his vessel. Once the king of an empire that spanned the stars it was Oberon that concocted the plan to subjugate the celestial dragon Aurelion sol, using him as a weapon to further the expansion of the Targonian empire. Now with his greatest weapon out of even his control the time has taken his newest body down from the silver city to face the return of the star forger alongside his fellow aspects. Unlike his warriors his motives go beyond defending his home from Aurelion sol’s celestial wrath and the encroaching void, he seeks to finally kill the star forger and take his power for himself. Should he accomplish this task he will become invincible and Targon will be unstoppable as the whole comos bows before the twilight king.

Stand back, I'm a certified hater!

So I've got no idea why you're modding Oberon for melee combat here, especially since dual swords isn't really an attractive weapon type, what with Broken War, War, and Galatine existing and making everything else look derpy. Really, you should probably just mod Oberon to emphasize Hallowed Ground's proc immunity and increase power range and duration-

oh damn it this isn't Warframe

On the whole, this isn't a very interesting champion. Dual swords and a day/night motif aren't exactly super original. Even worse, Candurill did a similar champion in a previous CCOS contest.

The passive just exacerbates the problem and is not interesting gameplay at all. Getting bonus damage and attack speed for using your abilities feels like rewarding basic competence. While Lee Sin and Riven have similar effects, Lee Sin also gets back energy and is fast-paced enough to make it a trade-off whether to autoattack or not, while Riven only empowers up to three autoattacks and can use her Q multiple times for multiple stacks. Oberon here just kinda gets it for free and doesn't do a lot with it.

All of your abilities have horrible bases. Go look up other champions and look at their base damage.

The Q at its core is functional. Boring, but functional. It's a victim of the bad damage more than anything else.

The W is an overly complicated shield for no reason. You have way too many random effects here, including contradictory effects (hard CC kills the shield instantly for some stupid reason, but you ignore it if it's within the first 0.75 seconds?), resulting in a needlessly complex shield that for some reason also penalizes you by disabling your passive.

The E...You mean Moonlight, not Nightlight, right? It's another victim of needless complication, except this time it works against it by requiring a target to even trigger the actual part of the attack you want to hit a person with. Meh-ish in laning phase, impossible afterwards. The interaction with King's Guard is needless, screws you out of your passive (again - why even have the damn thing?), and wastes your shield.

In short, your full basic ability combo creates a shield, then attempts to destroy your own shield with a weird-ass gap-closer that needs to hit something to finish gap-closing and actually hurt someone, while your Q does meager damage and takes two hits to build up. You have to jump through all these hoops to get everything remotely right. Meanwhile, Fiora (ironically, given your taunts) just needs to dash to your weak point and beat the crap out of you.

At least you put a little utility on the ult. It's alright overall, but the rest of your kit is too terrible to carry you out into viability.

Also, I think I will focus on the lore. It's awful. You're explicitly retconning a new aspect, making this aspect in charge of Mt. Targon (when that's the place that empowers the aspects in the first place), make this aspect actively malevolent when all other aspects have been benevolent, and pick, out of all possible rivals, a star dragon. Not just any star dragon, but the one already forced to obey the Targonians' will anyways, meaning his entire conflict here is already resolved. There is nothing redeemable about this lore.

There's also no reason to pick this guy. He's hopelessly outclassed by every other duelist and Teemo, and while his ult is alright for a teamfight, he's overall too squishy to survive the front line and doesn't do nearly enough damage even after ulting to kill everyone else fast enough. You'd want Yi if you wanted to kill everyone super fast, Riven if you wanted to mix ability casts with autoattacks, or Fiora if you wanted that lovely true damage to blow up tanks.

I can't really help with suggestions for new abilities. I do recommend, however, that you simplify everything as much as possible. Having all sorts of specific interactions with other abilities just adds clutter to the kit and ties down power you could be spending somewhere else. There's power in simplicity - see Riot's most recent releases and note how simple it is to describe and understand everything they do.

This is awsome! l love the passsive, it would need to be very visually explanatory however. Great concpet, I don't like his subtitle as much though, it could be more interesting. +1

Your description of the appearance feels strongly like this:
