Aegis: The Beyonder (Champion Concept)

Basic Idea. Whilst LoL is at heart a fantasy series, I always loved it when people mixed Sci-fi with Fantasy. Like how the first final fantasy HAD MOTHERFUCKIN WARMECHS WITH NUCLEAR WARHEADS I decided in the end for a more support-ish type champions. Mostly because firing a plasma cannon from across the map, whilst AWESOME, is overpowered as fuck.

Lore: On the newest year, on the first second of the first minute of the first hour. Upon the first day, the first month, landed within the territory of Piltover was a strange device, known to no inventor. It produced some enigmatic energy that was unrelated to hextech. Yet it was a far cry from any Zaunite Chemtech. Heimerdinger, the revered Inventor, would be the first to study such a peculiar device from the depths of space. Where upon much fiddling and wasted days. Heimerdinger had finally repaired the strange device as well as re-activating it. The device, calling itself "Aegis" was a sentient supercomputer that had taken to finding the secret of souls, and life. However as thanks for the assistance Aegis remained within the city of Piltover, serving not only as an exotic source of information, but also wonder.

Appearance I was thinking of the SC Protoss Sentry when thinking of Aegis. Perhaps with the sleeker gold replaced with a sort of cogged bronze. Perhaps with a blackish highlights. With the blue ball in the back remaining mostly unchanged.

Base Stats at level 18 (as well as 1) HP 1.7k (475) Mana 1.2k (375) AD 79 (55) AS .65 (.45) AR 175 (31) MR 195 (41)

Abilities Passive: Enigmatic Technology. Aegis's technology is so alien that conventional items from RuneTerra have difficulty interacting with him. Aegis cannot gain CDR, as well as bonus Magic Resist, or Armor. Instead for every 10% percent of CDR Aegis will instead get 4/8/30 AP Whilst every point in bonus magic resist or armor will grant 7/19/30 HP instead. values improve at level 11 and 16. Idea: Since Aegis is supposed to be a sort of reset support (see below.) He needed to be rather beefy late game to get into position easier. Especially since he's pretty immobile, to prevent him from being a problem early game if he was going to have the base stats of a tank, I decided to have his passive (formerly a Katarina passive remix) be more like a Vladimir Vladimir remix. So he could still be squishy earlier, whilst gaining bulk between the hefty HP bonuses from bonus AR and MR, and a massive base value for them at level 18. The reason I added the CDR restriction is so that if his abilities fail he will have to wait longer for them.

Q. Spatial Distortion/ Chronos Breaker. Mana 65/55/45/35/25 \ CD 6/5/4 Aegis unleashes a rift in space time traveling forward 450 units forward, and being 125 units wide. It will last an additional second before fading. Allies hit with the rift will gain a 3/6/9/12/15% to their MS, whilst enemies will loose 1/8 the amount and give it to Aegis for 2/3/4/5/6 seconds. (does not stack!) If Aegis hits 2 or more enemy champions with the rift in space time, or two allied champions then at the end the rift will expand 450 units and Aegis can reactivate the ability to use Chronos Breaker. Chronos Breaker will apply the "Personal Time Shattered" Effect to all units within the space time rift. Healing allied champions for 4/8/12% (55% AP scaling) of their missing HP and dealing the same amount as bonus PHYSICAL damage to enemy champions. Both over a period of 4 seconds Whilst an allied champion is effected by "Personal Time Shattered' Aegis cannot use Spatial Distortion, but his other abilities will recharge 65% faster (barring ult) as well as being half the mana cost (including ult) Whilst an enemy champion is effected by "Personal Time Shattered" Aegis cannot use Spatial Distortion, but his other abilities are empowered against time shattered enemies. Finally if an enemy champion dies whilst time shattered, or for 1/2/3/4/5 seconds afterwards. Aegis's W and E are reset.

Note the reason for physical damage is that they're is no magic involved. Aegis is killing you with pure SCIENCE

W. Teleportation Rift. Mana 120/100/80 \ CD 30/28/26/24/22/20 Aegis formulates a teleportation rift in one location within 450 units of range. Within the next 3 seconds he can place a separate rift under the same conditions, any champion can use a teleportation rift to move to the other instantly. Disjointing projectiles in the process. (I.E if a Ryze sends his E at you, and you portal the E disappears, but it won't stop a Karthus or Zed ult.) Once 1/2/3/4/5 people use the teleportation rift it collapses. Allied champions with shattered time DO NOT COUNT FOR THIS. Enemy champions with shattered time are stunned for 1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8/2 seconds and lose 2/4/6/8/10% of their maximum health as bonus physical damage over 13 seconds

E. Photon Wall Mana 140/100/60 \ CD 23 Aegis creats a photon center point at a wall within 650 units, and within the next five seconds, can cause it to send out a ray of photons that will continue until they connect to another wall. Forming a wall of light in in between. The wall of light lasts 12/14/16/18/20/22 seconds, reduced by one second for every 25/50/75/100/125 it spans. Any champion that walks through the wall is slowed by 20/40/60/80/90% for 2.5 seconds (halved effect and duration if allied to Aegis) Allied Champions will also gain a shield that is 4/8/12 (+100% AP scaling) of their Max HP lasting 1.1 seconds. Enemy champions will gain grievous wounds for 1.4 seconds, losing 3% of their current health as bonus physical damage plus 200% of Aegis's ap over 2.45 seconds Time Shattered allied champions will instead be hasted when they pass through the wall, but the shield is only current HP rather then maximum. Enemy Time Shattered Champions will be unable to dash or blink through the wall, if they attempt to do so, they will stop at the wall, and enter stasis for 2.3 seconds.

R. Time Breaker. Mana 450/350/300 \ CD 120/100/80 Aegis mathematically proves time cannot exist logically. Aegis requires a 1.1 channel time to do this, and Aegis continues to channel until Time Breaker's effects end. If the Channel is broken early for whatever reason, all of it's effects instantly end. This shatters time itself in a 500/1000/1500 unit circle around Aegis. None time broken champions are frozen in stasis for 1.5/3/4.5 seconds. Allied time broken champions will have their basic cooldowns reset, and restore 10/20/30% of their hp as they are slowed by 10/20/30% for 1.5/3/4.5 seconds Enemy Time broken Champions have their basic ability cooldowns (if they are below 7 seconds) set to 1/3/5 seconds and have grievous wounds for 3/6/9 seconds. As well as being frozen in stasis for 1/1.3/1.6 seconds.

Not only a good denial tool, but also deals EXTREME damage if built with AP. However it suffers from ease of avoidance, (since it's a very thin wall) and ease of dodging (As it's telegraphed and with proper positioning hard to get surprised by the wall dropping on top of you.)

I'd love some suggestions, I'll toss em in and give credit. Just remember you need to comment to give said suggestions

Changelog Fixed typo that massively buffed Enigmatic Technology. (It read giving 640 Hp rather then 64.)

I'm looking at it from a pretty noob perspective, but to me it seems worse than Karthus levels of UP/OP. The damage on these things is CRAZY high and the various utilities are pretty crazy too. However you did try to offset this with massive cooldowns, which I don't think works, especially for a support character. Again, you have tried to offset this with Chronos Breaker, but for how massive the other cooldowns are, it's not quite enough to make them immediately useful in the case of a bot lane deciding to all in. It seems most of his poke and real utility will come from his Q, and a lot of his other abilities will get lost.

Admittedly I have little experience in balancing. I am however, a lore buff, and this idea (while totally cool) has some serious flaws. First being that Aegis doesn't really belong anywhere. While you set him in Piltover (a step in the right direction), to add him into official lore would require riot to confirm a definite alien species as another faction. I doubt this is super viable. There is also the issue of how Heimerdinger got his hands on it, instead of any of the richer clans in Piltover.

In terms of lore/game crossovers, I'm not a huge fan of the phrase you use for his ult. "Aegis mathematically proves time cannot exist logically." is a HEAVY topic, and doesn't really make sense in the context of . . . anything really? Time kind of exists. There's even a special skin line universe based around it. Come up with a different explanation and it'd be much better. Maybe something along the line of overlapping timelines? That's be a little bit more logical.

Overall, cool af idea! Just needs a lot of polish to fit in to the LOL universe.

So his abilities seem super complex with tedious reward. There are many aspects of his kit that seem pretty hindering. In regards to allies, everything revolves around his Q to NOT negatively impact them. That seems a dangerous stipulation to have because there is an ability lock on it if a passive effect is on any champion in the game.

His E also seems to be incredibly strong because of how this ability can be angled to cut, quite literally, the entire map in half through the river. Creating a nearly infinite wall that will eventually slow enemies by 90% on a basic ability is real discouraging to play against. Then there is the risk of also slicing your allies MS, which would feel bad, even if you gave them a shield. Kind of a weird, backwards effect.

His ult can make a lot of champions incredibly broken by resetting their cool downs. Imagine a double Twilight Shroud Akali, two minefields from Ziggs, the list goes on and on. I admit a counter to that is breaking the channel, but enemies not under the Q passive influence are stuck in a stasis for an extremely long time, not to mention allies based on the description.

All of his abilities last way too long. You know how Redemption feels like an eternity before it heals you? That's only 2.5 seconds. Imagine being slowed by 90% for 4 seconds! That'd feel terrible. No where near fun to try and play around (like Nasus slow).

A support that does both maximum AND missing health percent damage is a very strong support already, but putting all this elongated CC that can easily cripple your own teammates into the kit with long cool downs that can't be reduced by itemization makes him very difficult to imagine enjoy playing with, as, or against.

Is something like aliens for us?like:

He is from the other planet for seeking something or studying of the Runeterra, like Vel'koz but with different intentions?
